Well in the podcast beyond at ign they have been constantly joking that they have a ps3 slim in the podcast room with them you just couldnt see it because they where all looking on it from the side. So must likely it is continuation of that joke. Since some of the members of the beyond podcast are also in the Game scoop podcast. View

If you look at the same source as the author is using you can see he is using the wrong numbers for 2006. According to sony the numbers sold for ps3 are accordingly

2006 3.61 million sold* (the numbers for the 2006 and 2007 report differ i assume the numbers in the 2007 report is more accurate)
2007 9.17 million sold** (the numbers for the 2007 and 2008 report differ i assume the numbers in the 2008 report is more accurate)
2008 10.06 million sold**

Added up it gives 22.84 million sold, these numbers are taken from sony finacial statements.

It states

And when does the word gay fulfill one of theses terms, if you look it up in a dictionary it has the same meaning as cheerful.
