Avid's fun. But Expensive.

I adore apple products. They're simple. Effective. And. Affordable. I may be a noob, but I'm also a student. Fixed incomes make it very very very very difficult to enjoy what the proffesionals enjoy. :p So, I take the next best thing. :) Still, I do enjoy what FCP and Colour did for Zodiac :p

You need a beefy machine to enjoy the infity of wonders Avid has to offer. You need a lot of money and a lot of space for that. Apple's software can run on a simple machine, you aren't missing out and in the end... you end up having fun. :) All you do really need is a whole lot of space. HD decks FTW :p

Remember, it's not the software that makes a person a pro or a noob. It's what they can do with it. I've used avid. I enjoyed it. But for a pc machine, I'd rather vegas. Y'know. You can call me a noob anytime you want, but thinking that software knowledgeability makes you a bloody pro then I think you're a noob at life and you seriously need to hit the books or the streets or anywhere where you can socialize and realize that it's not the camera that makes good pictures, it's the photographer. :) I do apologize, however, for being an offensive troll. It's just people with HUGE egos piss me off. :) View

You do not buy an apple product for the hardware. You buy it for the software. If you want to play around with photography/editing/sound production you have to fork over some dough. You don't buy an expensive macbook, mac or any mac product because it looks cool and everyone has it. You buy macs for work. And they pay for themselves. If you buy a mac for games you waste your money. It's great for what it's for. It's great for daily use.

I love my mac stations. I rarley use my pc. Mac all the way. Costs more. But it's worth it. :) View

hehahah soon we'll tv ads for the 360 showing blood and guts on the screen, children engulfed in flames and some psycho laughing menacingly as he shots a whole bunch of pedestrians and then it suddenly changes to a poorly designed kiddie game ala mario with flowers, rainbows and unicorns all in unity with the tagline saying 360 or the wii. You decide. :D And the wii logo would explode into bits oozing in orange blood with the sounds of unicorns moaning in pain. And from behind the 360 logo the same psycho for the 360 bit walks out holding the wiimote and then throws it at the screen giving it the ‘broken’ effect and he starts laughing and you change the channel to playboy tv only to find two tanned guys kissing each other while the woman you’re expecting to join never does but you still wait and you watch these two guys do the hanky panky and you’re still waiting for her to come and then the credit roll and you go wtf? :( and then you go buy a ps3 :D View

Playing games for the fun of it. Not letting them consume your everyday life... that's the real hardcore. Becoming addicted to video games... making them THE most important thing in your life isn't hardcore. It's foolish.

My high-end gaming machine costs about 4k and it’s crap.

And it doesn't really play games. :p

I need macs for my work. And 4k, in a way, is as cheap as it goes. Of course you need to spend about 3 more k for other things. But a 8k mac is something I really want.

PCs are mainly for gaming. Don't fool yourself. If you spend 3k for a pc, and you want to do multimedia work on, you've wasted money. You buy a high-end pc to play games. 4grand to play games at the highest res, with the highest fps... and for what?

Seriously. If you want something to play games, get a console. Pc's are a dying breed. You constantly have to fork over a grand or two to upgrade it to get the smoothest gameplay. And it isn’t ever enough. A month or two goes by and you get a game that requires more memory. :|

And what's even more adorable that most pc games are ports from consoles. Only games that aren't, are either crap or don't last long enough to be enjoyed and cost a whole lot of dough.

FPS's were a pc genere, as were many other games, but once you've played a FPS from 2004, no matter who the publisher is, in 2007/08, it'll be the same game with just new levels and new sound bites and seemingly new graphics.

Pc gaming is dead.

No upgrades or features will make any pc game stand out. If you think playing pc games is as good as it gets just because you got a mouse and a keyboard, you have no idea what real gaming is. Yeah it's fun. Yeah it's easy. But at the same time it's the same old garbage. It's the same rubbish. Nothing's new. Nothing. It may work. It may be the best control scheme since the arrow keys, but in all honesty it just makes every single game on pc a clone. FPS's are all the same. Many will argue, but it's true. 3rd person games, same deal.

There's no innovatory on the pc. It's all rehashed gameplay with new graphics and new sound tracks. Argue all you want. But the truth is that pc gaming is dead. Even cryisis or what not, all it has going for it are the graphics. They simply can’t give you something new.

Consoles are the future. Pc gaming is dead. You can’t revive it. No one can. View

Cause sonic is constantly on speed and environmental things change rather fast. It keeps A.D.D. kids attentive because of all the flickery lights and occasional enemies that you ‘jump on’.

Sonic in a fighting game would seriously bugger the game up in every possible way. All he can do is run, and lose his money. I mean he’s a frickin’ hedgehog. How come he can’t use his spikes and just impale his enemies? Think about it. Sonic games would be so kick ass if you could just use your body as a weapon. It’s just so lol that when they jump on you, you get hurt. You’re covered in spikes for chirst sake! They should get hurt, not you!

That’d be slick in a fighting game. Sonic would just take start spinning so fast that all his needles and such would start flying in every direction causing massive damage. Hehehehe. View

What a boring thing to read! I can’t even call it an opinion piece, or an article. It’s so dull! God! They, IGN, have to hire people who can write, so the nerdy reviewers can dictate what should be written, and the writers will spice it up so no one, ever again, will have to go through endless paragraphs filled with lousy, poorly constructed jokes!
