The title for the article is rather misleading. In the end, this is not a news item, but pure speculation. Did I need this to tell me that BC should come back. Of course is should, but the way you titled the article here, it makes it look as you have some insight on BC coming back to the PS3, only to see an article tell us something that dozens of articles have already stated.

The biggest issue with this article, is that it is old news. Think about it. What was the last PC exclusive title that id Software released. Quake IV came out for the 360, Doom 3 came to the original Xbox. Even Quake Wars came to the 360. They may of had some timed exclusivity, but overall, nothing from id has been PC only for some time.

I guess you could say that the new WebQuake will be PC only, but then again, it is browser based, which means that systems like the PS3 and maybe the Wii will be able to play it based on what kind of back end software is needed. View

the PS3 80GB already have Backwards compatibility. It is not as compatible as the hardware compatible 20/60GB models, but it is about 70% compatible. Unfortunately, a couple of the games I want to play on a PS3 will not work on the PS3, ie. Yaukuza and Persona 3. View

DevonDude, someone else said it, but not only Rockstar, but Take 2 has embraced Steam big time, releasing Bioshock through Steam at midnight.

Yeah, the update does take a long time. I had to let it go for about 45 minutes. But it did finally update. You might be able to get the update directly from Sega's Website or Microsoft's website. Might be worth a look.

You are correct that a silver account is free and you will be allowed basic server browsing with that account. It will also allow you to get single player achievements.

But to get the true multiplayer experience (achievements, matchmaking, cross-platform play) you need a Gold account. As for being a Sony fanboy, I would have to disagree. I actually am a dyed in the wool PC gamer. I want Live for Windows to succeed, because I want to earn achievements for with my PC gaming skills. I do own a PS2, but I will never own a PS3, due to cost and little in the way of gaming value. I do have a 360, but it get more use as a DVD player than a gaming console. Why would you worry about the Orange Box. It is developed by Valve. Totally independent of EA. They are only using them for retail distribution. And if you hate EA that much, just buy it on Steam. Either way, the game is the same. View
