For as much money as we pay, you'd think there'd be more Mods putting people in check. There's not one day that doesn't pass that I don't hear racism or homophobic remarks. It's annoying and quite frankly, disturbing. A guy on my friends list (or was, rather) was spewing the N word like nothing and my buddy, who's black, was playing with us stayed absolutely silent the whole time. I knew what this prick was saying was affecting him and I couldn't take it anymore. I told him "Hey guy, do you have any idea how f***ing stupid you sound?" Had it been some stranger telling him that, I'm sure he would have shrugged it off and said something like "you're probably a ni**er too" or "you're just a ni**er lover"...but the fact that somebody from his friends list told him maybe made him shut up and realize that maybe he'd gotten so used to saying these derogatory words so apathetically, that there's no more meaning behind them. I respect my fellow gamers and there's no reason why people shouldn't be able to play comfortably. I think, for example, Sony and Microsoft, should be a bit more harsh towards those reported for abuse.
