Hi folks! My name's Mike, I wrote the article. I'll be honest. I NEVER check out feedback, only because I am very busy. I decided to check out the reaction here, and WOW, I was surprised at how seriously many are treating this. It's just a fun look at what could be. I really don't understand the fan-boy reaction on both sides. Even though this was for a 360 site, I myself am just a fan of gaming. I own all the consoles, and enjoy them for what they are individually. I don't want to say that I am right or wrong, but I certainly don't let any of this stress me out. And it seems like many readers here, do. I thought games were about having fun? Healthy competition? Enjoyment? Not name calling and finger pointing. I don't want to generalize (the negative people know who they are) because there are many of us who just take of all of this at face value. Let's put the fun back in games.

... thanks to these kind of stories. They met because of (shock) both working in the industry. I've met both, and they are really nice people. They deserve each other. What a bunch or self righteous, self important whiners. People get fired form jobs every damn day. Sometimes, for even sillier reasons than Jeff. Guess what? Who cares. This is a blessing is disguise, because he'll be scooped-up by an honest site/mag (although that's practically an oxymoron, as anyone who has worked in publishing knows) where he'll be treated with respect, more money, etc. This isn't news people. I’m always curious why we gamers give a darn about the sales of a system? Or a game? Is it a lesser person’s need to belong to a winning team? Or to justify your purchase? I own all 3 home consoles, love them for what they all offer me as a gamer… and that’s about it. If Colgate is my favorite brand of toothpaste, I don’t check the AP releases like a zealot to discover if Colgate Whitening Formula is the biggest and best seller on the market. I brush my teeth, smile with a glow, and that’s about it. Job done.

However, if you live or die according to the numbers, all console sales are a sad chase after the DS brass ring. Gee, I wonder if it being affordable or fun has any connection to it’s success? View
