Well, thats why you should study up on upcomming cards before making a purchase.

People have known since the 9 series launch, that these 2 new chips were coming out.

The 9800 is a major waste of money if you were a person who researched and found out about these 2 upcoming chips lol.

Although, the 9 series is pretty much a waste of money anyways if you already had an 8 series. View

If the supposed specs are true.. It's supposed to be around 50% faster than a 9800. And even faster then a 9800GX2.

It is a SINGLE CHIP card, But the chip is bigger than usual because it has a ton more Transistors crammed into it. Supposedly around 1BILLION! Which is quite an accomplishment for GPU's. The most on a GPU right now is 745 Million transistors.

They say that Nvidia improved they're shaders around 50% also. And it's a 512bit card.

It costs more to make these chips because they can't produce as many per wafer due to their size.

Can't wait to see the benchmarks. View

Lol, Of course it's not going to play recent games.

This isn't about it playing games.

This is about all the things that Nvidia has crammed into this chip, how small it is, how efficient it is. All the capabilities it has.

Oh and btw, Nvidia's Tegra will play games ALOT better then what's out there now since it has a Nvidia GPU in it also. It's been reported to play Quake 3 at 40fps. View

I think what they've created is truly amazing.

"The Tegra line will be all-in-one, integrated systems on a chip, containing an 800MHz ARM CPU, GeForce GPU, image processor, HD video processor, and controllers for all other aspects of core operations (memory, USB ports, communication) -- in a package about the size of a dime."

And since it has a GPU in it as well, it's leaps faster than the Atom at everything else to. Going to be great for portable products like MID's. I hope someone releases a product that looks sort of like Nvidia's mockup. Like it's design a lot more than the iPhones.

I hope people see how huge of an advancement this is. It's almost mind boggling that they were able to do this currently. View

It's not about the boobs in general.

It's about the fact that peoples personally customized characters were changed without notice or consent.

What, if it was a hair nerf, or a foot nerf, or a face nerf it becomes valid? But if it's boobs it's no longer a valid reason to complain?

Stop looking at it as a sexual matter, and start looking at it as a personal choice matter. You can't suddenly change peoples personal creations.

Yes of course it's partly a sexual matter to many people, but that's their choice. You can't hate on people for their personal preferences. That's like a heavy metal fan going to a classical music concert and telling everyone the music sucks and that they need to f$ck off. View

It's not about porn.

It's about people having there creations being changed without permission.

You wouldn't want some patch to come along and change your 6'1" tall character into a 3'2" tall character who has a lump on his back and 3 teeth.

It just happens to be boobs in this case. People don't like there personal characters being changed. View

Of course there are no reviews. The game isn't finished. Reviews usually happen a day or 2 before a game comes out and after that. View

That's only because there isn't a framework built to handle those kinds of processes with GPU's.

That's why Nvidia invented and is improving CUDA.

2005 wasn't long ago... And it doesn't matter.. Take 2 of Intel's top of the line Quad-core CPU's and try, it will suck immensely still.

GPU's are a more advanced type of CPU. You could build an operating system that only runs on the GPU, and it would be much faster. And then there would be no need for a CPU. CPU's are slowly becoming less useless with Nvidia's efforts. View

But just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

Nvidia would have an even stronger following and highly increased sales if they would drop their prices a bit.

The amount of customers they would gain would cover the amount of money lost from lowering the price and give them an even better reputation.

Don't get me wrong, Nvidia is my favorite. I just hate how their decisions on pricing. View

Yes, games themselves are computed in 3D!

BUT!!!

That doesn't mean it's actually 3D.

Remember, your only looking at a picture of a 3D image. And a picture is only 2D. (Width x Height)

What 3D TV's do is send 2 different angles of a 3D image at your eyes. Which will make you see objects in the same perspective as you would in real life. It gives a sense of "depth". Which is the 3rd Dimension.(Width x Height x Depth) View

Actually you can on the Wii now.

You install the Wii Homebrew Channel.

It's an actual WII CHANNEL that was created by people in the homebrew scene.

Once installed using the TP hack. The homebrew channel is shown along side all the other channels on your Wii. You simply click it to start it, and you can load any homebrew you have. View
