Yeah, that's the fear with 16nm and especially 11nm.

Because the thickness of the transistor gate material will be around a single monolayer... Which is a layer of tightly packed atoms.. lol.

Which scientists estimate would be significantly effected by Quantum tunneling. (Wiki ftw.. lol) View

Yeah, With the move to 32nm coming next year for CPU's.

Transistor gates will be measured at the atomic scale....

They will be less than 1nm... (1 nanometer = 8 atoms) View

I wish N4G would be able to take preview descriptions from the video spot.

Being able to use HTML in the stories makes thing's a lot easier and better.

(Btw, I'm not the same guy who was trying to post this story and pimp his blog out to people. So feel free to approve this lol.) View

55nm Sure would be a lot better for this damn hot card..

And we'd be able to crank it up even more with the lower temp.

I've always wondered... If AMD and Intel can make things in 45nm... Why can't Nvidia and ATI? View

"BLOCK: The message is nuanced. It's the shooters' relationships with technology that's the problem. For instance, some of the school shooters removed their hard drives and destroyed them just before they died."

I find that a little stupid... Their not destroying it cause their addicted to the computer or anything of the sort..

They are destroying their hard drives so that people won't be able to read and see what they have been doing online, to get insight into why the shooting happened. View

It's not about how fast it pop's up.

It's about all the virus your going to get from those sexy girls using Safari..

Firefox is the only true, strong lasting protection! Extreme STD Protection! lol View

That's because they decided to skip GDDR4.

Since it is only a small improvement over GDDR3.. Unlike GDDR5 which is a major improvement over GDDR3 and 4. View

You obviously havn't played Crysis on high enough settings then. View

Lol... your so wrong.

The 4870 doesn't have 480 unified stream processors. It uses a technique that virtually doubles it's stream processors. Sort of like Hyper-threading on an Intel Pentium 4.

Second, The GTX 280 supports GDDR5, and manufacturers will makes cards with GDDR5 after a while.

But it's not really need at the moment because it's expensive, and no games currently would ever need that much bandwidth. Not even Crysis on everything maxed.

Third, The GTX 280 has over 1 Billion transistors. (1.4Billion to be exact.)

That is almost DOUBLE what the 4870 has. That is pure physical processing power. Nothing virtualized.

Fourth, Nvidia improved their sharers roughly 50%. And their architecture is superior to ATI's. That is the reason why Nvidia's cards are always a lower clock speed, yet they seem to get higher scores in benchmarks...

This card will CRUSH the 4870...That is a fact.

Not saying the 4870 isn't a good card tho. For the price it's good. But you grossly underestimating the GTX 280's raw power. View

That's just USA guys... USA is ranked pretty low in Internet Infrastructure...

In Japan, switching to only downloadable games would be a breeze, there available Networks are extremely fast.

Even here in Canada.. With Shaw Cable, I have a 10MBPS connection for 42$ a month! 10MBPS means that I download a WHOLE MEGABYTE in just under 1 second. It comes with free Speedboost which boosts your speed almost double for the first bit of a download. And when I'm downloading something threw torrents, I've seen my downloads reaching a steady rate of around 15MBPS. Even though I'm only paying for 10mbps lol. It only takes me a little under 2 hours to download 8GB's!

I have a 100GB monthly transfer limit. But you don't get your connection cut like the many evil companies in USA.

If you keep going over your limit every month, they will send you a warning.. then another one after that.. So as long as your not going over the limit every month it's usually fine.

I can even get a 25MBPS connection... That's nearly 3MB a second. Or 8GB's in 41 minutes... Hardly a long time to wait to download a game.

Soon they will be upgrading to DOCSIS 3.0 also..Which introduces channel bonding to increase the capable speeds of cable internet by a large amount. Everyone on Shaw Cable internet will have even more speed when that's introduced.. I'd guess at least 10MBPS or more speed onto our plans.

I realize it's not like this around the whole world.. But this story is about the future, is it not? And in the future there will be a lot faster internet speeds available. (Hopefully less draconian Internet service providers will pop up in USA.. lol) View

Yeah, the story is about Intel revoking the license tho.. Not about Fudzilla's personal views :).

I'm personally rooting for Nvidia in this battle for dominance. I believe they strive the most to advance technology in a better way than other companies.

And the GPU is a far superior tech than CPU's... CPU's were great when we had simple programs and simple computers.. But they are slowly becoming an old technology. While Nvidia is trying to advance GPU technology and bring it into the forefront of processing technology.

I believe technology would advance a lot quicker with them as the leaders instead of the current leader, Intel. View

It's not an option..

It's something wrong with your computer..

Because Firefox has superior support for web standards than IE.

What OS are you using, is it full updated? When is the last time you re-installed your OS, Do you do regular virus checks? Have you installed Firefox before?

There's many factors that can make a program not work to it's full potential. View

Technically nothing can be done about this except for the source of the roms being shut down.

But there is copious amounts of other places to get roms and emulators.. It's no biggy these days really.

Although this would help make it more known to the average person...

I think it's wrong to sell those old games anyways.. Nintendo and Sega and whatnot need to just let people play them for free now... When a console is no longer sold, and hasn't been for years..

You shouldn't be reselling the games for it in another manner. It's ridiculous. View

It's a Plug-in to play online content that has Microsoft DRM on it.

Without it, some songs or videos you watch online might not work. Think of it as a codec in a way. View
