Your issue is noted, and I thank you for your constructive attitude.

To answer the question once and for all, the TV is not the issue here, nor is it upscaling, as I fully test functionality every time I get an exchange system back. The reason I would know such a thing is that I have a second TV for my PC, a 27 inch 720p olavia piece of crap that has the same issues with any exchange units.

If a friend comes over with his own PS3 and I hook it up, every aspect of the PS3 works, no issues what so ever.

Finally, to answer your question of how my years it took for 4 consoles to have these issues, it was more a mater of months, not years, as its been one after the other in exchanges.

My original, fully working 60GB unit died after just about 2 years.
The exchange units are what are flawed left and right.

Oh yea, to anyone wondering why the system weighed 13lb rather then 16lb, the blu-ray drive they stuck in it is cheap as hell.

Your smugness is fine and dandy, but I wonder how smug you would find your self with 4 broken consoles, one after another.

My complaint is written in my own time, which is quite a small part of my night.
It is "My Blog" after all, so I feel I can write what ever I feel needs to be said.
If you think its to much text, then why did you bother posting, because I doubt you like reading, or rather, I doubt you even read my stories.

On that note, you are free to your opinion, but, I would rather a more constructive natured comment, as apposed to the rhetorical "Oh, your system craped out? MINES JUST FINE!!! HA, F#CK YOU GUY!"

For the short answer, No.
For the detailed reason: This only happens when my received consoles from Sony exchanged.
See, every time I have this issue, a friend of mine will come down later that week to let me use his PS3.
This is why I know there is no issue with my TV in general, as everything plays perfectly on his 60GB console, and every setting is set exactly as I set his up on my own.
Upscaling is not an issue, as this TV does it all, it was purchased just for the PS3, believe it or not.
For the specs on the TV, its a 57 inch 1080p JVC SoLCD, or for none techy people "Silicon over Liquid Crystal Display"(also known as SRXR on Sony's brand).
TV works like a dream, my exchange units, not so much. View

For your information "RoyBoy", I only speak of my issues with there technical service, if you for some reason feel there service is being unjustly treated, then I suggest you file a report to the FCC to shut me up.

Thanks for the reply, and yea, I'm sure they can at least send me a new 40GB unit after this kind of treatment, but I hope to get something to play PS2 games as well, so if I cant get a new 60GB unit, then I will be asking for a new 80GB one.
That is, if/after I have received my 5th defective unit.

The Sony reps are still beating around the bush, and I will see to a more drastic action if this unit has any faults. View

Thanks for the comments of support.
The problem your having with SOCOM is not local, it is actually very wide spread.
When I was in the Beta, it was the worst experience I had with any game this generation, other then Wall-E.

Load times where horrendous, crashes were to common, even for a beta.
Just tough it out bud, I just bit the bullet after another talk with them, so there maybe a part 3 of this.

We use anti-matter in medical care each and every time there is a PET scan, as they inject your body with a vial full, this is used so that when they go into your blood stream, they will at some point collide with its positively charged copy of its own element, and when they attract to one another, they hit, and disperse as a gamma burst.

The level of gamma radiation coming from these interactions are pretty much the kind of gamma rays you get in about 2 to 3 days in the sun at max.

This is none life threatening, and is in major use in medical treatment.

That being said, you have no idea what your talking about, as they are trying to prove "Dark Matter",as apposed to anti-matter that is proven.

(NOTE: Anti-Matter is a reversal in electron and proton spin and electric orientation, this makes it a carbon copy, or, left hand if the right handed element.)

They (Kotaku) neglected to say that the headset, when in the cradle, will act as a stationary mic, sorta like the Playstation Eye.
