Odion Vanguard failed because it came out early. People didn't stick around for the patches. They released because people wanted something better and fast. If you wanna talk WoW PM me so I can school you some on what a BS game that is. Vanguard is an amazing MMO. I am a big MMO vet myself with COH, COV, WOW, GW, UO, WAR Beta(Currently) and many others...

Size and looks do matter to many. (If you are comparing the WoW crowd with that of Halo. I will never play Halo again. Thats a horrible analogy. An insult to Halo fans.) Back to size and looks. Size gives you diversity in gameplay, More options and tactics available, Think on your feet as opposed to jump/circle/strafe/rinse/repea t. Looks on the other hand... Well thats where appeal comes in. I was arguing with BIGBAER earlier about R&C. honestly the cartoony looks of wow and/or halo are a "Shiny" factor to many. Makes you want to try it. Vanguard had a rough look about it. Kinda like Conan Hyborian Adventures does. I feel its an amazing game but wont appeal to enough of a player base...(BTW Jinxstar = big conan fan)Granted I dislike the color palate in RFOM but gameplay is hands down better imo. The color palate really kills me though. I hate games like that. (Hence one of the big turn offs for me in MGS4. EVERYTHING IS DAMN GREEN!!! WHY?!?!) More options and skill is needed imo then in Halo when playing RFOM. Don't get me wrong Halo is hard to master as well but no doubt RFOM wins hands down in my book. Dont be a freakin bot. I hope they do well. They need to market more. Most people don't know anything about the system still. I have yet to see a commercial highlighting that its a BR player on TV. Let alone any commercials besides maybe the 3 lair and 2 HS commercials I have seen. Thats their biggest downfall right now. Nobody knows whats out there... View

Sony has been countering all of these. Tons of movies now, Some pretty damn sweet games now and on the horizon, New SKU about to be released, Also its going with more casual games in mind now as well. The technology is being worked on. Everyone(360 fans) knocks lair. It was a trial game and failed in most peoples eyes. I enjoyed it. At least they are trying new stuff... I have said before. If anything imo 360 lacks games.

I have said I have 3 360 games and I know you can guess all 3. Halo3, Gears of war and Bioshock. All shooters, All good but no diversity. At least you could guess them from my profile. For PS3 I have NG sigma, Warhawk, HS, Lair, RFOM and Motorstorm. All good games and all fun and diverse... For the most part. To go with them I have preordered for my PS3

Assassins creed, UT3, GTA4, Uncharted, Simpsons, Conan, Folklore, R&C, COD4, DMC4, EOJ, all paid in full as well as ME for 360 and SSBB and SM galaxies for the wii. All paid off.

I am not rich. I am a firefighter but a true gamer so I spend my money carefully so I can get these... I own a 360 elite and a 60 gig PS3 with I upgraded to a 200... I have more games to preorder.

With games like God of War 3, Wardevil and many others I can't see why someone wouldn't want a PS3 and R&C will be a huge addition to any true gamers collection. I feel it will sell very well. Didn't preorders go gold already? Only time will tell though man. You are either a truely anti PS3 gamer or don't like cartoony games. If the others you said like Naruto and Katamari appeal to you then... I don't know what you dont like about R&C... Maybe you just don't like it. Thats fine. I dont like MGS, Halo or Gran-Turismo for my own reasons. These will all sell amazing and have sold amazing... To each his own. I just dont think your tone of "Gloom and Doom" is really justified is all.

As far as the Wii goes. I think just about all my friends own one. Its great and when Galaxies comes out I think me and my girl are gonna have a blast with it.

R&C however will be all me baby. I am 25.I am stoked about this game as are my roomates who are 25, 27 and 20... The 27 year old has a wierd view on games. He think resistance looks cartoony but Halo doesn't.... Anyway.

As far as ratchet and clank goes its a platformer that goes above and beyond in terms of Pacing, Design, Humor, scale and general fun factor. It surpasses "Viva Pinata, Naruto and Katamari" Of which those games have a much smaller fan base then R&C. Also just based off demos I have played for Katamari and Pinata and R&C... Seriously there is no comparison... If you beg to differ I would love to see it. The only 360 platformer I am looking forward to at all is Crash... Doesn't that also release on the Wii? So how many exclusive 360 platformers are worth it.

I am not knocking 360's games in general. I am saying it is a SHOOTER console and there is nothing wrong with that. It has plenty of AAA shooters. As far as everything else goes.... Nada... Dead rising maybe but I dont know how "AAA" that is... Since everyone on this site seems to care about that status rather then if a game is fun or not... I will put it to you in those terms.

So as a whole I believe R&C will do well just like Mario Galaxies will do well. I think as long as you like platform games you should like this. We will have to wait for reviews though and sales to show. I could be wrong but I believe it will be mostly anti PS3 hype that kills it if anything. My system has already been worth the 600$ investment to me and with Uncharted, R&C and a ton of other games coming out along with the library it has (Not all AAA in whoevers eyes. But bad ass in mine)Its totally worth the money I have invested in it. Same as my wii and my 360. All have fun stuff and I enjoy them all. View
