If M$ thinks that it's console is doing well then why, why, WHY have a price just before the Halo3 launch, which is the console's flagship. It doesn't make any sense. Halo is supposed to move consoles regardless of price. Why reduce the price if you are not in a tight spot? They might as well kept the price that they had and lower it 1 month or so after the Halo3 launch.
I think M$ is in a tight spot and they already know it. x360 didn't sell well in the first year despite the fact that it was the one and only next gen console out there and wii has already surpassed them in sales. 5 or 6 million consoles difference is not enough, just a good holiday season from sony and it's gone. It's doing well only in NA and now in europe AFTER the price cut. Before the price cut they were outsold everywhere exept NA and UK, despite that PS3 had a higher price tag. They know that if PS3 has a major price cut (40gb model??-don't forget they know this stuff long before we do) that they wouldn't stand a chance. So they wanted to move as many consoles they could as fast as they could BEFORE sony anounces the 40gb model and sweep the market away
So I'm asking again. Why in hell did they cut the price BEFORE Halo3 launch if they were not in a very tight spot??? View

Yup and if the reduce the number of enemies in 3 at a time like in gears and play the game in small confined areas then it would be possible...
Halo 3 is the only game that features a whole bunch of enemies, that's why it runs in 640p, has framerate issues and not the best of graphics. If you ever played a FF game you would know that the enviroments are massive not like gears...
And if it eventually comes to x360 then prepare for a lot of disc swapping each time you change the city...
I think these rumors are a pathetic effort to cast a shadow over these exclusives and prevent people that have an x360 to go buy a ps3 just for these games. As long as the time closes on the release of these games then the rumors will appear more and more. It's like the bioshock rumor...(which also didn't have more than 4 enemies on screen at once and played in small confined areas)

Also it might be a way that Konami and SE put pressure on sony to make a price cut and increase ps3's installed base, or milk sony some more money View

Hey if it's not about the graphics, then why did you buy it? should have stayed with the original xbox, halo1/2 had the exact same gameplay as this one. If you don't mind about the short campaign and the storyline(even though not everyone that bought halo3 wants to go multiplayer) and you bought it only for the multiplayer then why again buy halo3 and not play the old ones, it doesn't make any sense.
For me it's combined, graphics, gameplay and storyline. Bioshock had the whole pack and it's 10 times the game halo3 is. Having good gameplay and mediocre graphics and storyline just make the game good not perfect by any means...
To all those sites that gave a 9 to HS and halo3 graphics. Your reviewers must be really blind.
Also remember it's M$'s flagship it HAD to be perfect, but ended up far from it. I guess any game with a 100$ campaign behind will sell well...

That about sums it up for all sites

For every site that gave it a 10/10:
10/10 is a perfect score, the game must have the greatest graphics, the greatest gameplay, everything must be perfect. It seems to me that 8/10 reviews. in terms of graphics described the game simply ok and good. How it is that the same game sites gave it a 10/10? Give it a 9/10, I'll understand it, even give it a 9.5/10 but when you're saying that the graphics are just ok how can you give it a 10/10? I think that game sites, in the majority american ones are simply afraid that if they
talk down Halo 3 they'll loose readers and they simply cannot afford it. Most of these sites also gave Halo 2 a perfect score later to admit that the game didn't deserve it a all. Most of them will also say the same again in a year or 2...
Gears is far more greater than Halo 3 will ever be IMO
Only Kotaku had some balls to call it like it is, probably the best review out there... View

That's why Blue Dragon requires 3 discs, Lost Odyssey will come in 4 dvds, and UT3 will have less maps in x360. That's also why x360 will never have a decent racing game with not even 1/5 of the cars that GT5 will have because in a racing game you cannot have multiple discs.

Imho the game graphically looks amazing but it's ruined by very very bad voice acting.
