I think the author is a little bit confused. He clearly states "Do not get this confused with "BEST" franchises. I don't even like a couple of the franchises on this list. This is simply which ones are most important to the industry as it is today."
Since the list is focused on what's most important TODAY, then yes, as much as I don't like HALO, it deserves to be on that list. But then he goes and adds Street Fighter. OK I love Street Fighter but as he says it hit its peak in the early nineties. So what's that got to do with TODAY? Yes, I know the new Street Fighter is going to be released soon but it's not even nearly going to have the impact like other TODAY's franchises like Gran Turismo (remember GT4 sales surpassed 10 million copies) or even God of War will definitely have when they are out.
And don't even get me started on Madden. We get it, it sells a lot but you know what? Call of Duty sells more, it's a better game and it sells all around the world in contrary to Madden where 95% of it's sales come from the US View

Dude it's at 68 at metacritic. It's not "solid" as you say and it's not even a good one. Awarding 7 and below for a game it's just plain mediocre. You know there's a level between very good (around 9), plain good (8), below mediocre (6) and bad (around 5) and that's where too human is and where it belongs (around 7). And just to give you perspective even Nascar 09 got a 69 and Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit got a 72. Talking about mediocre games... View

As much as I don't like SCEE ans Reeves tactics you're not even close mate. PS3 60GB has a list price of 299 pounds and in the US it's 399$. So unless 299 pounds are close to 800 dollars you're completely wrong. 299 pounds equals roughly to 550$ which still is 37% increase from the US 399$ price tag, but nowhere near a "double price tag". And the thing people always seem to forget is that Xbox360 is actually a US product which means that is inevitably linked to the US$ exchange rate. Have you all noticed how much the Jeep prices have fallen over the last year in Europe?
Also there is a solution for the PSN price tag. Buy everything from the US store like I and many friends of mine do. And how come I haven't got the "cut down" version? View

First you might want to learn how to read and comprehend what other people are talking about and then reply. Your posts 8.1 and 8.3 had NOTHING to do to what I was talking about. And if you don't agree with me you can also click disagree instead of posting off-topic spam (see 8.1 and 8.3 again) due to lack of comprehension...
Secondly, 90% of the people here and on the internet will ONLY just read the title and move on the list of the games, so it's not OK, get that?

That's the exact TITLE, which is misleading. What part of my point don't you understand exactly? Are they the world's most sold games as the title states? Maybe, but unless they include worldwide stats and not only the 3 top global markets, the TITLE still remains misleading. View

I didn't complain about uk being in there, I just said that if an article claims to present the "world's" top selling games then all of the territories should be in there, especially the rest of Europe which sells more 2x-3x more than uk. If they can't track the rest then they shouldn't use the specific title... View
