They really crack me up..Kids that suck at shooters are strangely similar (actually the same people) to the people who hate Halo..
They scream power rangers and pink lasers all day..well guess what, the FACT of the matter is, that HALO IS the most complete, most competative shooter to date on any console. If you took the campaign off the disc itself the game would still be just as good. Halo is not about the the Story , its about MULTIPLAYER. There are no other games with the amount of thought put into the maps, the physics, the balance, the required skill..even the way the bullets travel through the air..

What other game can you Build your own map with infinite possibilities, Capture the videos of your matches, take Hi-def screen shots, create custome games with YOUR rules and weapon/spawn placements, effortlessly get in and out of vehicles on the fly etc (the list will go on for pages).

And lets talk about support for the game..you can log into Bungie and see stats, recent games, download updates (yeah dev that actually still works on the game), new maps, crazy player map maps from all over the globe, insane once in a lifetime videos of people pulling of stuff you might never see again (1 shot sniper overkill as an example or a barrel blowing up shooting a parking cone crosss map that nails a guy and kills him). Mix that with the Best online service out there and you have the best online experience bar none.

Also take a little peek at MLG. What other console shooter has a whole league using it as it's flagship game? Halo tournaments on the MLG pro circut awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money, get thousands of dollars for player sponsorships (Gilbert Arenas even sponsors his own team..and to you uber nerds, he's an all star NBA player), mass media exposure (see EPSN,,yea i said ESPN! ,G4TV etc). Go pick up a bottle of Dr. Pepper and chances are you'll see the picture of a friggin HALO PRO PLAYER on the bottle!! HALO is huge and there is a reason why. Hype fades, over hyped games get forgotten but true works of art stay in the spot light for a long time. HALO 3 (not combining hal 2 or CE in with that) Has just reached its BILLIONTH online game played. People will be playing Halo while copies of COD4 through 100, KZ2 , resistance and the other generic shooters pile up as returns at the local gamestop. People will not be playing KZ2 (playing that game is visually appealing but it's about as fun as stepping on a rusty nail that rips through your shoe and into your foot causing blood poisoning) in a year but they sure as hell will still be playing halo..you can see in the compairisons that Haters are scared..people will compaire halo 3 to COD5,6,7,8 etc.

Halo is far > all other console shooters to date in virtually every aspect

I agree with most of what you are stating as Pros and Cons but can someone tell me what the heck you're talking about when you say the 360 battery pack is getting in the way? GETTING IN THE WAY OF WHAT?? surely it's not getting in the way of the fingers that curl underneath..I can palm a basketball and in now do they come in contact with my fingers. And if thats the case, then how could you even use a DS3? it' half the size!! View

While the 360 dpad is terrible, so is the DS3's...it's just slightly better. I bought SF4 last night at Eb games for the PS3 (all 360 copies were sold out) and I would have bought a joystick if they had one in yet. It's playable on the PS3 but it is still frustrating. All that aside, the 360 controller is the best controller for a console that I have ever put my hands on. The DS3 on the other hand, well, lets just say I am in the process of putting the guts of a DS3 in a 360 controller shell (for KZ2)..I wont buy any shooter for the PS3 until i'm done or they revamp their out-dated design. 27 - PS3 - 360
1.) Controls, PS3 wins for games that are focused on use of the Dpad. otherwise 360 wins by a long shot (also, if you're any good at all at SF you'd buy a joystick so this is a useless argument. Most important!
2.) Special Edition, PS3 wins. Blu-ray and Ryu FTW! I also think 360's lime green is totally ugly for most box arts. (useless argument as well..don't you already own a PS3? I do.
3.) Sound, no need to crank it loud cause PS3 is quiet and 360 is noisey. (true gamers, like myself have high end headphones for gaming or a little thing called surround sound)
4.) Play as long as you wish on PS3 or 360.

If you think 360 is flawless in rendering any multiplat, you are mentally delusional. Even most 360 exclusives are not impressive because I am HEAVILY biased and not a true fan of gaming or art. View

Yea ..it happens to me too..i'll go on a break from Halo and play gears, fall out etc but I always come back to Halo because it always delivers and bungie continues to support it. Gonna play tonight I think. View

it's alive and well. the biggest FPS tournaments in NA have a flagship game called HALO3 so it must be dead.

Is, if you order the Halo Wars LE you get orbital, sandbox and assembly with the game..if you choose not to buy halo wars you can buy these maps a week later on the marketplace.

for the other 3 maps (you thought there 6 and there are) Heretic, longshore and i forget the last one but anyway they should be coming via the same package deal with HAlo ODST..
