This article is a smear campaign paid by Microsoft

Guerilla style tactics are catching up to MS, now with these ridiculous hardware issues and disc scratching, and no real focus in 2008 but PC like titles. They are so obsessed with Sony and Apple it is rediculous. Winning at the expense of consumers is their plan. This whole wii60 bullshit was to steal Nintendo's ideals, and set them in their light. They wanted to just buy Nintendo in 2003. They thought they were weak, then the ds and wii hit them hard. Nintendo shouldn't let these devils put Blue Dragon and Viva pinata on their console. They just want to play nice, then snatch it back in a monopoly situation. They want Sony off the face of the god's earth, they are so threatened by sony's excellence in games and hardware. They think Sony Computer Entertainment is weak, so they smear their name, but all it does is reveal their bull. They love Sony's pull in the entertainment world. Yes the ps2 has 118 million sold. But what game has sold 118 million? Madden always sells like that, regardless of install base. But last year ps2 was number one with over 1.2 million in august 2006, xbox 360 number two with abut 100,000 less than this year for August. My point is madden was not commercialized for ps2, ps3, or wii, only xbox live logo appeared. It took Microsoft's guerilla tactics to still get outsold by the "playstation family". That is the strength of playstation. Now next year, what do you think will happen? More PS3 Madden sales or less. Don't be dumb. View

Sony has always had a solid Holiday Season. At the height of PS2 in just the months from October to December, they would push 8-10 million units worldwide! Last x-mas in December in NA, the PS2 sold 1.4 million, PSP 953,000 (at $199-249) before the price drop, and PS3 sold out of all stock with 497,000 at $599 with only Resistance as the kicker! Xbox 360 sold 1.1 million at ($399) in December for reference. This is only in december in NA! They have a cheaper player this year, 15 exclusives games like Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Unreal Tournament 3, Warhawk, Singstar (insanely popular), Haze, Folklore, etc. A host of multiplatform games and a robust blu-ray market line up which was almost non existent last x-mas . You will be shocked how many units they move worldwide this holiday little buddy. View

The only player that is a sure thing is the PS3! Stand alone units can't play games so they are a gamble. If you look at view tips in your n4g profile, N'gai Croal got word yesterday September 24th, (the article is todays yahoo news),of Sony ordering alot of 40 gb hardrives. He speculates a new sku by thanksgiving (rumor). At $399 or $499 the best bet is the PS3. Now standalone Blu Rays will outsell Hd-dvd players by a margin but of course everyone won't be going gung ho over them. The PS3 will appeal to the family who wants to play games and watch HD movies. The PSP was $199-$249, last x-mas (I purchased one). Fanboys said it had no games, but it had Metal Gear, Syphon Filter, Daxter, etc. (all 9.0's). It sold 953,000 in December in North America. It was $120 more expensive than the ds, but it has it's on lane for handhelds. Sony sold out of $599 PS3 players last december, with 497,000 sold out. This year they have a cheaper player, 15 more first party exclusives, crazy multiplats, and a robust blu ray market. The campaign for Spidey 3 should be rolling after this Halo stuff is over. They will do fine. View
