Guilty
I have a few Force FX Lightsaber replicas mounted on my wall, and was quite happy to buy a lightsaber for my Avatar. It seemed overpriced, but I like it a lot, and probably won't buy other things from the store. View

Gamespot had to change their scoring system because of the console wars.
Remember when Gamspot used the 100 point scale (e.g. 8.8, 8.9) for rating games? Well, they had to change it to a 20 point scale (8.5, 9.0) to hide the fact that PS3 Multiplatform games typically lost a few percentage points due to their slightly inferior graphics. Sure, the difference between an 8.9 and a 9 isn't huge to the consumer, but it makes a huge difference to developers and their publishers. So the switch was made, so that all the lower PS3 scores would be rounded up to match their 360 counterparts.

Games developed solely for the PS3 tend to look good, and sometimes better than many games on the 360, but this isn't because of some hardware advantage the PS3 posesses. (In fact, it lacks the RAM to handle textures and anti-aliasing as well as the 360.) No, games on the PS3 sometimes look better because of the talent of developers, not the hardware manufacturers. Naughty Dog, not Sony, is responsible for Uncharted 2's beauty. View

Ummmmm...
Why would you want to 'forget Mass Effect'? This is a PS3 fanboy article. Nothing more. If the PS3 exclusive game is good, that doesn't mean that other promising, similar games cease to carry any weight. View

1) I imagine so. Maybe not for streaming, but I'm not positive.
2) No, Zune HD is not related to Netflix at all.
3) That's going to be a problem for some, but they can download as they always have.
4) Time to switch ISPs if you have a CAP
5) I have Fiber Optic internet, so I really don't worry about it, but for those with Cable internet, this is an issue for sure.
6) HD is technically anything 480p and above visually. I don't know about sound... could see it going either way, but given that this is MS's answer to BluRay, don't be surprised if it matches that medium feature for feature. Then again, it may not be the case. I have Transformers on HDDVD, and didn't realize it wasn't in surround sound... sounded like it was to me. View

I wish Netflix was set up for 1080p as well. Plus, if you don't have a killer internet connection, don't expect to stream video of that quality... download only for you. Still, it's nice that we can stream BluRay quality vids on the 360. I just wish that you could get 1080p from Netflix, because since we already have that library, I don't see myself paying $5 a movie for extra resolution very often. Still, always nice to have the choice. View

More console fanboy sensationalism
This article fails to give credit for the true reason Uncharted looks so nice: The talented team at Naughty Dog. The developers, not the hardware, are responsible. Only people looking to get hits on N4G would suggest otherwise. (I know, because I've done this many, many times here with such classics as "Why the Xbox 360 is still the King" etc.) It's allllll about getting hits for your little site.

Basically, if you want people to read your stuff, you have to pick a fight. "Naughty Dog is a great developer" doesn't attract nearly as many readers as "Teh Console Warz" stuff like this article. View

There's a serious problem with the logic of this argument.
What this author doesn't understand is that the developers are responsible for the graphics just as much, if not more, than the hardware with which they develop for. Naughty Dog gets credit for Uncharted's beauty, not Sony. And I didn't see any mention of the PS3's hardware limitations (surprisingly low RAM, and slow Blu Ray drive access speeds), nor the fact that the vast majority of PS3/360 multiplatform games have better textures and superior anti-aliasing on the 360. This 'article' (ore more accurately, and outline for a proper article) began with the assumption that the PS3 is a superior gaming console in terms of visuals, and went from there. It should have asked why some PS3 games look so good, and had it remained objective, it would have concluded that it was due to talented development teams. View

Most people don't realize it, but...
It used to have browser support via a plugin for Windows Media Center. I actually used it, but you had to have a PC with Media Center and the required plug-in. It was rather crude (you could only go to sites that were already in your IE 'favorites', but it worked. Then, for some reason, the programmer who created it stopped supporting it. I actually wrote him to ask why, and he never wrote back. Check it out... it may have been updated since I asked the dude.

Furthermore, I think Microsoft wants to compartmentalize the market: if everyone with a 360 had some basic PC functionality, people might not feel as inclined to go buy a PC for email etc. Just a theory.

Bottom line: I currently have 3 ways to access the internet on my TV, and while a fourth would be welcome, it sure isn't necessary. Nothing beats a computer for the internet. View

I would get it, but...
there's no surround sound. I mean, sure, a lot of people don't use that feature, but once you go Toslink, you can never go back. Well, you can, but it sucks. I'd seriously get this thing to play console games from work on the sly if it weren't for the audio limitations.

Oh, and it costs as much as a Wii. Wah! View

Riddle me this:
How can you claim to have no brand loyalty if you write for a site called PSXEXTREME??? You hear that? They're EXTREME!!!

For a console that's 'standing still', Microsoft's console seems to be selling prettty well. I bet if Microsoft proposed to Sony, "Hey, you guys wanna trade sales figures?", Sony would agree to the switcharoo at breakneck speed. View

just buy the PC version, and install the wonderful Polish mod that restores it to its uncensored glory. It's more violent, sexy, and has dirtier dialogue... and you can keep the English voice work if you like. View

In order to have a popular article at N4G...
You either need to have A) found a reputable link to a site with actual access to the industry, or B) have a sensationalist hook. Since there are far more little sites that don't produce actual news and instead put 'spin' on the handful of authentic game news sites, I'd say that if anything, N4G has allowed little sites to flourish... despite the fact that they produce little to no actual 'news'. The site should be called 'Sensationalism for Gamers'. Here's hoping the new standards rectify this. View

I'll say this...
At least not having a feature many people won't ever use cuts down on the 360's cost. Since the 360's cost to feature ratio is largely responsible for the Xbox 360's success, it seems that regardless of what loyal PS3 users here think, it was a sound descision from a purely business perspective.

And I don't hear PS3 users complaining about features that the 360 has that the PS3 lacks... like bundled in HD cables and headsets.

Finally, the 360's wifi adapter is but one of several choices available to consumers: you could always get one of the cheaper 3rd party models for considerably less and have it work just as well.

The world doesn't need this article... it's simply ad hominem attack to placate PS3 fanboys that live at this site. View
