I've been a PC gamer for years, always been my prime concern; with upgrading ect, and i dont have alot of money, but i can always find the money i need when it comes to pc's.
The mass selection of pc games are downloadable, which millions of people do; steam - 11 million, WoW - 10 million, and hundreds of other MMO's which between them would probably double the stats of Steam and WoW.
Now think of Korea and China - a massive amount of their populations are PC gamers.
I am a Huge RTS fan, and also enjoy FPS and RPG. I also play MMO's alot.
I also play console games, PS3 is the main console i play, I hardly touch my Wii, Completed the only good games when it came out, now waiting for Brawl..Mario Kart..Day of disaster...ect. The Wii i feel has put a permanent dent on the Hardcore Gamer. Casual games are good for casual players. BUT come on people you still have to make games for hardcore gamers, its the only permanently lasting market. As its a casual consol, i give it a small life span, as people will move on from this "fad".
Now my 360 I never play on, I have a decent sized collection of 360 games, and when i finish them, i never normally go back to them, plus my 360 has the dreaded RRoD. Which is making completing Mass Effect a REAL problem, as i really want to play the game. (My 360 RRoD the day after i bought the game!.)
To PC Gamers : Give console's a go their good fun, some games can only be played using a controller, and controllers are for Consoles, as mice are for PC's.
To Console Gamers : No other gaming experience will come close to a Lan Party on PC's. There truely awesome!
To Casual Gamers : Go to a gamestore, and check out some games like; CoD4, Bioshock, Mario Galaxy, Mass effect, Counter Strike, Warhammer: Dawn of War, and also look out for Fable 2, Starcraft 2, MGS4, Tiberium, FFXIII & Versus XIII, And also *rumour* Diablo 3!
