1:1 sword fighting will be fun, but seriously, will anyone sit there for hours, like 10+ hours and still want to swing the controller, in 1:1; gotta remember, it will require more effort on your part as you carnt just swing the controller and hope for the best. View

I think Nintendo have just lost their spirit.

This is comming from a long time Nintendo Fan, i also want to add, i own all 3 "next-gen systems" so fanboyism or anything wont come into this.

I'll admit, there have been a few great Title's in the last few years from Ninty, but 90% is pure crap.

Okay, i enjoy my Wii, i enjoy playing games i want to play on it. Mainly Brawl (i'm in EU) and House of the Dead 2 and 3 (i just love them games) but thats it recently, and it annoys me, because they do have the calibre to make amazing 1st party games, also there have been amazing 3rd party games in the past.

But the problem is, Business. Lots and lots of Company's release crappy games on the Wii, simply because they will sell.

The market has been flooded by all this crap, and shifted the balance in a big bad way, Nintendo have become there own worst enemy.

Pretty much every Nintendo Fan (before the Wii.) will be on some level a core gamer, and we all know what Nintendo has done, and when the Fad (yes Reggie, i said it!) of the Wii dies down, and its only seen in a core's bedroom; althought it will be gathering dust, Nintendo will suddenly realised what they have done.

Nintendo will in the next 10 years will epically fail, when they realise, they've pissed off their Core audience for too long, and they moved nicely onto a system that caters to their needs and wants, And atm for me, its the PS3, although, there are still games i want to get, to play on the 360, and for the next year my list of "to-buy" games is about 20-25 for the ps3/360, about 10 for the PC, and 1 for the Wii, maybe 2 if Kid Icarus looks any good.

And i'm assuming most Core Gamers will feel the same about the Wii and Nintendo.

tbh, i know this is real innovation, however, i carnt seem to get very excited about this, i know it's a great idea an' all, i just dont think it will be as epic as people have hyped it to be.

Anyone know the full game time? Well i'd suggest it would be about 40-50 hours total. Also, the replay possiblilty is endless, with customizations ect, i think this is a way to improve reply even more, sure you could start, play to space age, then make another creature, and do the same, but with an actual ending the player, us, will be rewarded for all our efforts, with an end game.

I dont think this is a bad idea, and yes i know, its a new thing for Maxis to do, however, i do not think that after the you finish the game for the first time, you'll be done with it, as i for one am a huge fan of (most) Maxis games, however, i would like to see my species working towards a final goal; whatever it may be.

Also, everything i hear about this game makes me love it even more; cept the security software (are they still using it btw?) and i cannot wait to evolve my species through the ages :) View

Yes i agree with you, If the Mac OS were more widely pushed back in the day, it could have been a very different story. But they didn't. Microsoft got very lucky, and they'll only suffer in the public eye because of Bill's departure, decision's will continue to be the same. View

Yes i agree with you, i am a long time MMO player, way before EQ.
Another good example i can give is Legend of Mir. This game was insaely difficult, lvling up took a long time, and the game had no instances, so all bosses could be taken by any players, the players formed a queue system for this.
But anyway since its relase countless years ago, 1998? i carnt remember, but i dont think any body has hit Max level in ths game yet.
Maybe a few, but there wasn't last time i checked.

I played this game for around 4-5 years, i'd get up before school to play, and play when i got home, more or less all night. But in them years i reached level 46 - which was very high at this point in the MMO's life.

And for everyone saying "the game needs to cater to the other 95% of players needs" .... well does it? I think the figures cleary state that its fine. Why else would the casual 95% percent be playing? Because eventually they want to have gear like the Uber's you see occasionally...

And that 5% are the people who've reached that goal?

Anyway, to sum up, if Blizzard plan on making WoW easier, then it wont be around for very long... as if somethings really easy, then it doesnt take long = players not playing for very long, completing it and moving on. The difficulty even adds to the replay value, easier - less replay value. View
