The Wii version gets...
Wii-saber!

Total pwnage. If I can pick just one version of this game to play, I pick the Wii version... for the motion-control lightsabre. View

No Fable as well. Maybe the guy does not like RPG too much. KOTOR is obligatory -- he has to put that in because even people who are not into RPGs have to admit that it's an indisputable classic. View

There's no PC version.

The PC version was canned back in December, when LucasArts saw all the PC big titles (UT3, Crysis) flopped in the NPD November sales data. View

Yeah, the gap is widen in the US
BUT the PS3 is catching up on the worldwide basis.

Now, Western developers can forget about the Japanese market, because Japanese don't buy/play Western games in general.

The same holds true for Japanese developer - most Western consumers are moving away from buying/playing Japanese games, and the market for Japanese games are shrinking in the West.

The gap in taste between Western and Japanese gamers are getting bigger and bigger.

So, it does not matter if the PS3 is outselling Xbox 360 in Japan.

A while ago, I posted a question in BioWare forum and asked them if they'd ever make games for the PS3 because the PS3 will have a bigger market than Xbox 360 in Japan. Here's how one BioWare employee replied to my curiosity, it goes something like this: "It does not matter how well the PS3 is doing in Japan. Japanese don't buy Western games anyway. We don't have a market there. So we don't base our platform decision on Japanese sales and market shares. Whatever market shares the PS3 can grab in Japan is basically meaningless to us or any Western developer/publisher for that matter." View

Xbox 360 does not have "Cell"
and in the last generation, Xbox was more powerful than PS3. All that power didn't do jack for Xbox.

It call comes down to exclusives.

Game consoles live and die by their exclusives. It's the strong Xbox 360 exclusives in 2007 that hammered PS3.

But 2007 is in the past. And at the moment, the 2008 exclusive line-up for Xbox 360 doesn't look so great, and Microsoft's hush-hush attitude is only making things worse - it's only creating more uncertainty and doubt about what they'll be able to offer in 2008. View

TnS, you'll be number-one every month from now on!
But seriously, though, this is a good change.

Now I can start to submit more new stories about the platform I love the most: the Wii!

And this will actually save me a lot of time. Now I can quickly submit a whole bunch of story without having to think if people are going to read it, and I can go through all my CRanks in less than a couple hours each day. And I won't have to spend time looking for exclusive hot news any more. View

Um, N4G beta software goes online next week
(not tomorrow, but the week after tomorrow)

with Beta, admins/mods will have more control over restricting and monitoring members and their IP addresses.

As for TANOD getting restricted, I believe he's already restricted from submitting tips for a long time (and news stories for a while.) I've been told that the admin/mod would like to restrict him in other ways as well, but now they can't do that for the moment until the beta comes online.

I assume they'll be able to restrict him from reporting, approval, commenting, giving "good/not good" ratings, and adding alternative sources. It'll depend on what they'll be able to do with the new beta software.

So maybe not all of them.. but TANOD is definitely getting additional restrictions next week. View

Well, this is TANOD's last week here
I've already gotten reliable words that TANOD is gonna get permanently restricted for good by next week. (Not a full ban because he'll still be able to read news, but just not do anything else! Maybe he'll be able to post in the forums.)

So TANOD can go crazy this week. This will be his last week here. Enjoy. View
