Not saying the game is not good, but even the greatest game should not cost $40 for 5 hour of entertainment
How much is a PSP game? $40 on Amazon? So God of War: Chains of Olympics is asking for $40 for 5 hours of entertainment.
A good 2-3 hour movie -- which I generally find to be a much more enjoyable experience than any game for the comparable time spent -- costs only $10.
Put two good movies together, which are about 5-6 hours, cost only $20.
This little short game on a tiny screen is asking for twice as much.
Let's just be rational here. That's asking $40 for a 5-hour entertainment. No great game has yet to deliver the type of enjoyable experience a good movie can give me for the same 2-3 hours (e.g., The Lord of the Rings or The Terminator movies.) Even a moderately good movie delivers a better 2-hour experience than the best of games.
Of course, the true value of gaming is that it's cheap. You pay $40-$60, and you get 20, 30, 40 and more hours of entertainment out of it -- from multiplayer if the single-player isn't long enough.
Which means God of War: Chains of Olympic, which offers only 5 hour of entertainment that's not going to be as good as a movie, is a ripoff at that price.
