Yes, yes, yes...
Sony is trying to play catch up. The console with a browser from day one that allows you to access your MySpace page and offers it for free is definitely playing catch up...

Good god it feels like the media would believe that MS invented all that is gaming and entertainment with how much they write about how all the new content and periferals to the 360 from MS are ultra revolutionary and that have never been done by anybody else... View

Rumor indeed but...
I would not put it past them to run the update tonight. They have done updates on odd nights outside of Thursday before so maybe. As for the update, the improved browser is something I look forward to. I use the browser a lot and any improvement would be greatly appreciated. View

You can mark my words...
There will not be an up-tick in Sony sales due to this banning. Sony people buy the PS3 because it's the console they have been wanting and could care less about the 360 and those who modded their Xbox will run back to the 360 like a dog back to his own vomit. If these guys were smart they would buy the PS3 and play great games but they were modders of the 360 community and as for smart people, modders are not. View

"It says much when a company is willing to go the extra mile to satisfy the consumers."
Yes, it does say much for a company when they will go the extra mile and release a game that is the lesser of it's counterparts plagued with long load times and horrible screen tearing. It's good to see Sega going the extra mile!!!

Pathetic devs and their lazy ports. View

I'm more surprised we don't hear more backlash from this...
Developers so too often release games that are not finished and then patch them day one. I for one could care less as long as the game works but the backlash that Infinity Ward got over MW2 patches the first week was insane. I guess for everybody else it's ok??? View

Look Pope...
As with anything, you get what you pay for... Oh wait! That's what they say for PSN...

Hopefully the extra features aren't something just for Gold members... Oh wait! View

@ Mikelarry
It's understandable why anybody would not want to be part of Sony's numbers when it comes to their failure rate. From my calculations though there are about 18 million folks who bought a 360 that became part of the Xbox 360 failure rate numbers. Now that is a huge number when compared to Sony's 3 million users or so. It always hurts when it is you that is effected, I should know, I have been through 5 Xbox 360's. View

"how long are they gonna beat this dead horse"
For as long as MS keeps shipping defunct consoles. Heck, you can still buy a 360 and have it die on you in a matter of months. Until they come clean and admit they did the consumers wrong and fix the console completely, you will see this kind of article. Maybe the next time MS won't be in such a rush to beat Sony to the market that they can spend the needed time for R&D and do it right and keep from disappointing the consumers again. View

It will be one less talking point for the Xbox folks here. View

And as some have already done...
Let me point out that this is a CNET poll, a poll comprising of one of the largest MS and 360 fanbases on the planet. If you Xbox fans can't trust CNET then who can you trust... View

Agreed
Single player is ok and almost Michael Bay movie over the top but the MP is simply addictive and awesome. Great title for this year. View

"The problem is, the moniker of "third-fastest selling console of all-time" is misleading. The population of the world has rapidly expanded over the years. There are more people, hence more customers, out there looking to buy consoles. "
Do you really think that the number of people on the planet has greatly effected the difference in sales in todays Videogame markets? Do you really think that? When you break down the percentages, it really isn't all that much of a difference between now and ten years ago. We have expanded from 5 and some odd billion to six and some odd billion. A 5th more than last decade.

So we know we have a billion more folks today than we did in 1999 and the primary growth regions for this is in Africa and Asia, primarily China. Knowing this, the marketing in those regions for videogames has not increased significantly and the sales of consoles for China and Africa are not any bigger today than they were five and even ten years ago. In theory you might be right but looking at the facts, the sales are just not there for the growth you speak of. View

Won't use it myself but...
It will definitely drop one of the talking points that the Xbox fanboys have. I guess at this time the best part of this actually happening is to shut more Xbox Fanboys up. One can dream right? View

Well...
At least this shows that there are some developers out there that are truthful. Sure the Xbox might have good games but it is ugly and it is loud. The truth hurts. View

Remember this:
(Second Quarter 2k9)

Sony: We have now sold 10 million consoles in Europe!

MS: No wait, WE have sold 10 million in Europe!!!

(Fourth Quarter 2k9)

MS: Hey! We have now sold 10 million consoles in Europe!!!

Sony: Whah?

Been using FB on the PS3 browser for months now...
I think it's more about the consumer for Sony than about copying MS. If Sony was trying to copy MS they would have gone with DVD, no WiFi, overpriced peripherals and a console that had a failure rate that was above the industry norm. It's good to see Sony competing with MS since we all know competition makes for better consumer products. View

I could not agree any less with some of the negative statements about this game...
This game offers way more variety than COD4 and offers the same visceral gameplay as COD4 with new maps and features. It's more of the game I love and wonder if any of these comments come from folks that actually played COD4 in MP to the tenth prestige... If not then I can safely say that Modern Warfare 2 is a game made for the true fans of COD4 and will appeal to a crowd that gave that game days worth of game play time. Heck, I think I hit nearly 40 days of time spent in-game on COD4. View
