I don't want to sound negative, but stories of stock being sold at stores is hardly a definitive sign of good sales. The reason I say this, what if they just had 10 in stock and they all sold out? That's hardly impressive. I agree, this isn't a small store and they probably had a couple hundred, but it's still not something you can judge by.
But I concur, this new PS3 pricing will certainly help them sell very well and this is just the beginning. Let's hope Sony can meet demand :)
EDIT: If many stores are sold out then I agree that is a definitive sign that it is really selling well. But, just one store? You can't judge too much on that.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Sony in the slightest, but I just don't believe this one story is enough to go by that it's going to sell out everywhere. Perhaps it's the beginning, and I hope so.
