"Wipeout HD is due to be released over the PlayStation Network in Late May/Early June 2008" - I thought it was coming out earlier than that, DOH!

I'm looking forward to this game, the PS3 doesn't have a racing game which is fast/frantic and also incorporates weapons. I've been wanting a game like this. View

The problem the Wii has it's not a real next-gen console and so not everyone includes in the race. I mean, it doesn't even have a DVD player, so it's hardly last-gen lol I guess you do have your very well implemented motion controllers and that is sort of next gen? I also don't believe any of the 'hard core' gamers will choose a Wii over an 360/PS3 as their preferred system.

I think it's easy to say that 2007 was the year of the Wii in terms of sales, and it isn't exactly showing signs of slowing down so I don't see why it wont do the same in 2008. But it wont get the recognition since it's not part of the console war in some peoples eyes... View

I am SO SO SO bored of these comparisons. They are just stupid and blatantly trying to cause a stir. And it's so obvious what is going to happen - you get both camps trying to say their version is better. Who cares!! Just buy the copy for the system you have and live with it. If you've got both systems then you can choose between what controls for the game you prefer, if you want achievements or free online etc.

I petition to stop comparison video's on this site - especially when you get 20 for the same freakin game!! View

I can confirm you'll get one month free gold membership when you first sign up a new name, but if I'm not mistaken you can't do this an unlimited amount of times. You can only do it 3 times (I think! Or maybe 5 times). Just sign up for silver and it should prompt you that you can get one month free. View

You can download demo's, trailers, themes, etc, but you can't buy the games without having an American credit card that's registered to the address you sign up with. The US store gets so much more stuff and usually always before us, so it's worth it! View

There is a very easy solution to get around this 'problem'. Release some form of pre-paid cards to enable you to buy things from other region stores. I don't see why Sony hasn't already done this? I can only see how it'd help them - it means more downloads, more money for them and we get what we want. Win win situation! View

Sony doesn't really do accessories as pretty much everything comes in the PS3 already. If you get a good bundle online with two controllers, a game and a HDMI cable, you do not *NEED* anything extra to get started. If Sony included HDMI cables in the retail box, you'd be set up for everything from the off without bundles.

This article says "Essential" accessories, but I'd disagree with the PS3 selection as you don't need a blu-ray remote (as your controller can do that already), the memory card adapter is only needed if you had a PS2 and want to carry on any saved games, the HDMI cable comes with most bundles these days and the last one - were they running out of things to include? lol

One of the reasons I chose the PS3 over the Xbox 360 is due to everything I wanted was already included in the PS3. It also worked out cheaper (surprisingly) because of that. View

An interesting little read. Considering how many review scores for Sony's exclusives angered a lot of gamers on here, they didn't do half bad overall! Imagine if GameSpot weren't so harsh; they'd probably be first! lol ;)

I do think the industry relies too heavily on review scores though. At the end of the day, they're just opinions of an individual(s) and too much is based on them. Why can't we make up our own minds on what is and isn't AAA?

How about this for a crazy idea (bear with me!). What if reviewers stop giving scores and just put pro's and con's along with their opinion? At the end of the day, it's meant to be their opinion on a product, but why must we have a score? Why not just a good read with a summary of pro's and con's? View

I love the look and the innovation of this game, but I've always wondered what you're supposed to do? Like, what is the point of creating all that stuff? What is the objective of each level? Do you need to create things to get your little men from A to B? Or what?

Well a couple interesting points:

-Someone could have just accidentally put the HD-DVD cover in a Blu-ray box.
-One cover says Transformers, when the other doesn't.
-Why does it have 2 discs?

EDIT: The pirates were on two discs? What's the point of these high capacity discs if you're still going to separate the content onto two discs? lol I know HD films takes up more space, but I doubt it takes up a whole disc just yet. View

You do realise this isn't the Playstation 3 or Playstation Network's fault right? Our free online service is top notch and when in the hands of non-rushed and skilled developers, is a quality experience without lag. Every game I own (besides PES2008) gives me a quality lag-free online experience. There is no need to feel for us, we're quite happy as we are. View

I ordered onling with BT and right at the beginning of the process they do a line check to tell you the speed you should get. Every company has the ability to do this (I believe - at least all the ones I've used) and perhaps you just need to ask them to do it if they don't tell you.

Around 90+% of broadband companies use your standard phone line and thus using BT's service. If BT have the ability to check your line speed, then so do all those companies. Just ask, they should be able to tell you. If they can't, think twice or check another company who can as they're pretty much all the same. View

The problem though, is that I wouldn't expect this campaign to do anything. All the companies cover themselves by putting 'up to' in front of their advertised speeds. The only way speeds will increase is if they put more broadband exchanges around, or if less people use the internet. View

Yeah, I check my broadband speed regularly. I've recently moved house and I get significantly less than what I used to in my previous address. The reason for this? I'm living further away from my local exchange, so of course my speed is going to be less.

In my last address, I was with Sky and the advertised speed was up to 8mb and I was getting 8.5mb very comfortably. At my new address, I'm now with BT and the advertised is up to 8mb, but I'm getting 1.5mb. But the thing is, I knew I'd get that little, as when ordering they do a test on your line to tell you what speed you'd get. I live a good 6 miles away from my exchange, so I'm not surprised. I'm just glad I can get any service!

It's only the uninformed and those who do not understand the way broadband work who complain about their speed not being as fast as they'd thought. View

This story is just a bit old to begin with (first saw it on their show at least two weeks ago), but I'm even more surprised by how many channels you got away with including.

Whoever approved this should be ashamed.

Is this even Gaming/Industry news? Probably the only channel this should be in is Tech and it's probably the only channel you haven't included!! Amazing lol View
