In my eyes, as long as it comes out on the PS3 (as it's the only console I own) then I'm happy. As long as I can play it, I'm happy.

So before all the fanboyism starts, all the PS3 owners; don't worry because it's still coming out on the PS3. I'd be more worried if it wasn't and that it'd become exclusive to another platform. View

Is there something similar for the English people among us? This is all for the US sites. View

It's for the US only. The rest of the world will be getting it later this year. I'm guessing you're from Canada (not sure what makes me think that though!) and I'd presume you'll be getting it along with Europe/Japan/etc. View

Although this is good news for PES2009 I don't see this as a big factor to weigh into the debate of whether to buy Fifa or PES.

The reason? Well it's only rights to a name and Fifa could always immitate it by making the champions league but just calling it something else like 'European Cup' or similar. Just as PES does with all the licenses it doesn't have. I believe they both even have an option to create your own tournament!

A step in the right direction for PES though.... View

I know about the Video store launching this Summer in the US, but will that also include music video's and possibly music files to download?

I think they're definitely losing money not releasing more PS1 games (preferably popular classics) and they should definitely look into releasing some older PS2 games. View

I'm replying to myself (lol) but I just thought of something else I wanted to add and can't edit my post now.

Sony is a LARGE worldwide company with many different divisions. They own Movie Studios, Music Studios and obviously Game Studio's (along with everything else they own). Surely they could start packing their store with things from all the different divisions?

Like, they could put loads of music video's up (and even charge for music downloads for those who like that), they could put loads of movie trailers up (for old and new movies and eventually have their video store) and of course they could stick their entire PS1 catalogue of games on there. I'd even like to see some older classic PS2 games make an appearance with a HD update for a reasonable price.

But my point being, Sony have just got SO much at their disposal and either someone there doesn't realise that or they're just not seeing the bigger picture. Maybe they need to allocate someone to the EU store to give it the attention it deserves? For such a large company with so much available to them, they really shouldn't be having update weeks like this. View

Hm, not much of an update. I guess Echocrome being released is a plus (but wasn't that released a while ago on the US PSN?) and a demo which I've already got the game for (and already downloaded the demo off the US store).

Here's to hoping the US update is better!...... View

A bit off topic...
but does anyone know if it's possible to do 2v1 (or 2v2 or whatever) online with two different PS3's? In other words, me and my friend want to play online together, but on the same team against someone else. Is that possible?

This is for Fifa 08 or Fifa 09, and for a normal match not be a pro or anything. View

I have to wait till after work to download this. I can't wait to drive along while listening to my own music :) These updates are certainly prolonging the life of this game for me. Top marks Criterion Games :::thumbs up::: View

Will certainly try this out :) View

Good news! Glad to hear they're supporting the people who have already bought the game and bringing out updates (especially trophy support). View

Anyone in the UK who hasn't gotten this game yet, now is the perfect time! Play.com have a sale on and selling the PS3 and Xbox 360 version for £17.99.

I highly recommend it and you can be glad to know there are more updates being planned throughout the year! View

I bought this on release day and I have to say I feel as if there is so much more potential to this game than what it's showing. The base is there, the developers just need to listen to some constructive critism and they'll have an excellent game on their hands! View

To anyone who's looking to get this game, but hasn't played a Top Spin game before, be aware that there is a steep learning curve. The game includes a very good training module though, so you'll get up to speed with what's required from the off.

When you do get the hang of the positioning/timing aspect of the game you'll feel right at home and realise what a great game this is.

So hang in there, you'll need a bit of patience, but it's all worth it in the end :) View

I agree. With this game being targeted to the tennis fans (due to it's simulation style gameplay) anyone who has both consoles is definitely going to pick up the PS3 version for that reason alone.

I'm not sure of the reasons behind it, but it's a good move by Sony (if it's their doing at all!) View

I tried Civilazation before on the PC, but never really got into it. So when I tried this, I was treating it as a new game without comparing it to anything else.

I had some in-store credit and decided to give it a go after liking the demo and I have to agree it's very addictive! I play this game much more than any other (including GTA, MGS, COD, etc) and it's the only game that has me thinking about it when I'm not playing it either. Whenever I start playing it, 2-3 hours always pass without me knowing and it doesn't ever seem like I've been playing it that long.

I'd definitely recommend this game, but I just know that some people don't like these sort of games. View

Look at the effect Trophies are having already lol :D

Maybe some developers should listen to these people and realise that patching older games (and definitely new games) will probably equate to a few more sales! View

Although I agree with some things of this article, it does come across as being very negative towards PSN and the writer finds it hard to hide his Xbox preference.

Comments such as:

"I still firmly believe that Sony gets off extremely lightly with regard to its online service"

"The biggest inclusion in Firmware 2.40 is support for Trophies, Sony's answer to Xbox's Achievements. Great on paper, but in reality it's nothing more than a novelty."

"Chat options are severely limited too......"

"If you're paying for LIVE (which you don't need to do to get some of its features) you're likely very happy with the service. Moving over to the PS3 at the moment still feels like a step back in the online space, even though it comes at no cost."

The above comments to me really come across as being a bit sour and not being neutral or productive as this article should be imo. He also comes out about the web browser (which the Xbox doesn't have) and still manages to discount it as he doesn't want to read, but watch, when sitting on a sofa.

Maybe I'm just reading it all the wrong way and he's not actually being negative, but I'm being defensive? Who knows :) There are some good valid points though, but it just comes across to me as more of a bashing article, rather than a productive 'we needs this and that' article, which I'd throught it'd be.
