Rent First, Buy Second
Everything about this argument can be summed up with the advice to rent your game and see if you like it first. If you do then go purchase it right away or save until you can afford it or get it more within your budget.

For example, Films are released in the theater first and you can see it for around the same price as a rental. If you like it you can always go buy it when it's released on video. If it stunk at least you can say you'll never see that 7+ dollars again.

Same with video releases. You don't have to blow all you're dough to check out a DVD release movie when it comes out the first time. Renting comes into play there as well. Paying $20 for a DVD of a movie you've never seen before even though you've heard all the hype about it seems rather stupid to me. Sounds like playing Russian Roulette.

Same goes for paying $60 for a game I've never played before. Better to rent it and see if it's worth the purchase to be sure. View
