Not sure I need a TV with a built in HDD, well not for the forseeable future anyway.

I'm sure there are folks out there though who'd enjoy having such a thing though, I just don't see the takeup being there for it right now though. View

Yeah I agree that publishers will move more towards digital distribution, but in reality I think they are going to be held back by infrastructure concerns.

Certainly here in the UK, broadband speeds are nowhere near good enough to allow users to download say MGS4 or Gear 2 without a very long wait. My connection, like the majority of the UK is one of those "up to 8meg" but in truth I only ever get 4meg maximum out of it.

Once the infrastructure is in place to deliver 100mb connections to homes, I think we'll see digital dist really take off. I think lack of infrastructure is what killed off the Phantom console idea.. View

Who cares! It's not a PS3/360 contest here, it's Darth/Yoda where the real buying decisions will be made.

Soul Calibur has always been a fantastic series and i'll be buying it for sure and so should everyone else! View

Yes, there is a delay for sure - but it's the order of the delay that's making me suspicious.

If for example, the controller was moved then there was a short delay in the action on screen I could understand.

But the fact remains, the action is taking place on screen FIRST with the delay being the guy moving the controller. Just how can an action take place before the controller has even been moved?

It does actually make a hell of a difference and for that reason, I'm out! View

Strange...
Did anyone else notice this?

When playing Harry Potter, the spells he was doing in-game were actually happening on screen before he'd made the gesture with the controller. Just a slight half second out, but that makes me suspicious that someone is off-camera with a controller. It just didn't seem to fit.. View

Totally agree - Shenmue III would sell bucket loads. It was a fantastic Dreamcast title if perhaps a little ahead of it's time.

I don't agree - sorry.

Whilst I'm prepared to admit some of the output has lost it's sheen, Sonic being a prime example - there are still a bunch of IP's that do well. Look at Yakuza for the PS3 for example - Virtua Fighter 5 and lets not forget the much wanted Shenmue III. View

But keep in mind...
..that both of these titles are created by the same developers, Bethesda Softworks. It's not as if someone has stolen their assets - isn't it just a case of them reusing their own work?

Fair enough, it's a bit lazy of them - but I really don't see the problem here, legally anyway. View

Sorry, but the Xbox was not doing well, at all. The original Xbox resulted in a $4bn loss for the company - that's why they HAD to kill it off quickly. If they hadn't, it's unlikely that the 360 would have delivered a profit quite as quickly as it has done.. View

I don't know about anyone else but...
...I didn't buy Burnout to play on Live!

It's always been a fantastic single player title - mulitplayer over Live! always felt tacked on for me. Multiplayer with folks in the same room is another story though.. View
