Will be picking this up for sure, though i'll be waiting for the £19.99 sweet spot.

I've already spent my vote for game of the year - it went to Trials:HD which in my opinion is bargain of the century!

this article totally sums up the 'internet gaming news' scene at the moment. Yet another fanboy creates a blog which becomes a giant soap-box for console bashing. It'll be dead within a year..

Why change the list after publication? because your readership demands it? I'd have more respect for a site that went with it's own views rather than pandering to the masses.

UK government is going to pass the amended law in the next 6 months. In the mean time, retailers have agreed to stick to the code on a voluntary basis.

So, whilst it may not be illegal to sell an 18 cert game to a minor - most retailers won't do it on principle. View

Granted, you don't seem to be a bigot - but you are certainly intolerant and prejudiced against the console releases.

As I said already (I think you ignored it) - maybe the PC version will look and run best - but it STILL doesnt make the console versions crap.

Perhaps for you but not for the large number of people who have consoles and no interest in gaming PC's, CPU specs, RAM clock speeds, overclocking and SLI cards.

That my dear is a matter of opinion.

There are LOTS of people out there who don't have a PC and don't intend on buying one. In their minds, the console version will be just as beautiful and is certainly up there with the best looking games on both PS3 and 360.

Yeah sure, the PC version will 'look' better - what matters though is that console owners get a good gameplay experience.

My PC is good enough to run RAGE (I would hope!) but I don't play games on the PC, that's what the living room is for.

I'm totally prepared to say I'm wrong. It's only when I looked up the terms on Wikipedia I noted that. Hertz and FPS *do* seem to mean the same thing these days.

I'm a systems engineer, not a games developer. For me, Hertz is the number of times a display refreshes and it's been that way since the early 90's.

Note the use of the term 'for me' - that's the industry I work in and if I was talking about hertz during a meeting, it would be screen refresh and not FPS.

Hertz are not the same as FPS - Hertz is a way of describing the refresh rate of a Progressive Scan display, not how many FPS can be displayed on it.

Example : PC monitors and TFT's frequently run at rates higher than 60Hz, new displays even go up to 120Hz - this does NOT mean content is displayed at that framerate. You can have a 60htz monitor and still have games running on it at 30fps. View

Guys, don't get your knickers in a twist here but the article header is in fact wrong.

the article actually says..

"Everything is designed as a 60 hertz game. We expect this to be 60 hertz on every supported platform," Carmack added

60hz is *NOT* the same as 60fps

You mean like all those peeps who thought Killzone 2 footage was real at it's first E3 showing?

It's not about the 'freaky' kid, nor any smoke and mirrors that goes on at these press events. For me, it's about the technology and what's driving Milo - talking to a 10 year old doesn't excite me, but having some nice tech to play around with sure does.

It won't be here for another year anyway so plenty of time for polish - in a way, very similar to the impressive changes we saw from Killzone 2 reveal to retail.

"Why are you guys so scared of Natal?" - Others may be, I certainly am not and am quite looking forward to it.

Exactly the point of my original post - I'm excited by Natal and really would like to know what games will be around at launch. The article title led me to understand I was going to find out what games they were by clicking on the story. I thought it might have said there would be 4 or 5 arcade titles supported by another 4 or 5 at retail - maybe even some mention of Forza, Halo or Fable Natal action.

Good interview, but the headline is VERY misleading. View
