I'll be more eager to see Libertadores da America, the South American cup, in PES. View

Monopolies always suck. I hope somebody else will be able to have a fair chance to compete with EA Sports as many of their games really need some improvement. View

Responding to Gun_Senshi

7 - Better fans is obvious a naive criticism. Fanboys are always annoying regardless of what they are fan of.

5 & 2 - I agree with the graphics issue. I haven't see anything in the PS3 that couldn't be done in the PS2, except for the superior graphics. I used to see people looking at the Wii remote for the first time and having something like a revelation.

3 - The author is focusing in offline multiplayer, which the Wii actually rules over any other console today. Online the Wii is rather weak, but it is the offline action that's convincing so many people to buy a Wii.

1 - I say it is entirely subjective and thus neither the author or you have a point. BTW, I think Wii Sports bowling is one of the best sport games I ever played. At least it is, as far as I remember, the only sport game I keep playing after more than 18 months since I brought it. As you see, perception varies from person to person. View

Capcom is pleasing their high definition (PS3/360) customers by telling them they will have something others cannot. However, as always, they will make versions to the popular systems (Wii/DS/PSP) and make some real money. View

I don't recall 4D Boxing to include avatars that could be used in many games under the system. Microsoft personal keep embarrassing themselves with these claims. View

First major site review and quite positive. I guessed Wii Music reviews will show a lot of variance, with hardcore press slamming it -- as IGN will likely do -- whereas the mainstream press praising it. Interesting that 1Up liked it, but I think the fact the reviewer is trained in music makes all the difference. View

The author miss the point. Miis are popular because they are easy to create. They are easy to create because they do offer a sizeable but not very big amount of options. If you give too many options, most people will be frustrated by not being able to create the avatar they want. View

I liked the pictures. Sadly, I don't believe in screenshots anymore. View

Controls were fair and graphics were poor, as the review tells. However, it miss the point that the story was weak and the confidence engine was broken (it allowed one group decrease their confidence on you despite the fact they had no knowledge of your actions). View

Isn't this review somewhat late? Also, they are too kind with their grade. Double Agent was the only title in the Splinter Cell series I found to be a poor game. View

Curious, unlike the author, I find more embarrassing to have a picture with myself with a plastic guitar than with a Wii remote playing Wii Music.

Still not sure if Wii Music will be a good game. The author is right about the musical selection being lacking but he is in the right way recognising that Wii Music software is much more advanced than anything available at Guitar Hero. I still think Wii Music will find its public at the very young people and perhaps at those who actually know something about music. View

Fantastic! EA Sports is now introducing point passing in FIFA but the distance is becoming even larger to the new PES. View

The question is not if Nintendo is preparing a high definition machine -- they are obviously planning it -- but when it will be released. My guess is that they will do it closer to Microsoft than Sony this time. View

Actually, Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes are being ported to the Wii among Pikmin as part of a discount line of GameCube games with Wii controls. View

It is cheaper to develop an online multiplayer mode than to develop a long single player campaign. Personally, I care much more for the single player campaign, but it seems I am minority right now. View

Smart companies don't compete in price. Iwata-san seems to be a smart CEO. Therefore, I wouldn't expect a price cut before the holidays. View

Any product has strengths and weakness. What this list does is showing that some market leaders have weakness and presenting a an alternative product in which that feature is particularly well implemented. However, in all cases I am knowledgeable enough to comment, the author seems to ignore that the features he describes are not important to the success in that market and thus his arguments are irrelevant.
