Aside from gaming journalism, videogames in general do still treat women like sex objects. At times when a woman plays a game like soul calibur and sees a woman with size 999999 DDDDDDD breasts and barely any clothes on she knows that this game wasn't made for her. I think there should be some kind of balance, or at least some humanity applied to the women in games.
Now as for gaming journalism, it's not just GAMES that do this. I mean, even in that picture with "porn stars love video games" its the PORN industry treating women like meat, not gaming journalism. And it's not even only women getting treated like meat, men get treated like meat as well. (theres more to me than my penis >:0) IMO it's not a matter of maturity, it's just fairness and making sure you don't alienate anyone in particular.
