Not Entirely
You posted a fantastic comment, and it earns bubbles but this is just great news in terms of the fact that PS3 owners do actually buy games at a strong attachment rate without any force-selling (and I am referring to bundled games). Again, I love the comment you wrote and it is very true, but could you foresee strong attachment rates and expanding install base exactly 1 year ago. I know I couldn't, and I have owned a PS3 since it launched! View

Huh?
That is just not true. There is plenty to sell, but admittedly it sold pretty damn well because they were bundled. This just shows that quality games sell really well on the PS3 and is a sign of what is to come with future AAA titles such as MGS4, Killzone 2, FFXIII, DMC4, Resistance 2, etc. View

It Is Still Selling...
The sales have not just stopped yet. Assassins Creed was half a million in front of COD4 when it was at 1.2 million and COD4 just accelerated passed it to become the first non-bundled game to reach this achievement. As the install base expands, so will the extreme sales, it is completely based on attachment rate and the PS3 and 360 are equal in this field! View

Hopefully!
I am hoping that the PS3 owners, like myself, can see this news as extremely positive and a great sign of things to come. It is an amazing achievement! View

lol
360 has a double-size install base. it is obvious that 360 is going to sell more with more systems sold, but this is a huge deal for the PS3. It is the 3rd game to reach this achievement AND is the first non-bundled game to reach this achievement. It has the same attachment rate as the 360! View
