I disagree for many reasons but overall its seems that all his "5 reasons" suggest that you are not getting a complete game for what you paid for just because its a trilogy. Yes each game is a continuation of its predecessor but if their good they should stand on their own and if its good enough to make you want the next one then so be it. I don't ever remember even hearing or knowing anything about Halo was going to be a trilogy back in 2001 before I bought it, but the point is whenever you buy any product or see any movie the only expectation/question you should have is will this 1 game or movie be a worth my $60 or $8. Also in Halo's case as with many other sequels and trilogies; the fanbase is the reason why the devs create more of them, or in other words how can you say that sequels are bad for gamers if they are the very ones asking for another game? -Although I do think at some point devs have to end the franchise or risk becoming stale. These maps look great, like they said the game keeps getting better and better with all the features and details Bungie has added. Bioshock is almost in my grasp so it looks like it will be smooth sailing all the way up to Halo3 launch day. Seafort I'm not sure if you read Angryhippo's comments correctly or what but he wasn't putting the game down. 20 hrs is plenty and knowing me it will be even longer since I like to explore every corner and then when you add the replay value its definitely going to be many many long hrs of good fun. It seems you must care, you actually took the time to dedicate an entire post to contradict this article. No matter how you look at it 360 has a very diverse line-up, but of course "some" will always feel more comfortable labeling or saying all it has is shooters.

SC: Conviction has been pretty quiet lately, this was an interesting read indeed, although I was surprised about a couple comments near the end, sounds like the usual stuff dev's say when they make an exclusive game, maybe some truth to it but I usually believe its more "hype" than substance to sell the fanbase your game. I hear what you're saying but I think your whole post overlooks one important factor, which is that when you bought your console you knew upfront what was in the box....in fact if anything M$ has said on numerous occasions that they will upgrade the 360 as needed....why would any 360 owner old or new care as long as it does not "downgrade" their gaming experience?= you can still play 360 games same as before. I guess I'm just different, I'm a early adopter of most electronic's and I fully understand that these products change, but I will still want mine first,(if I like the product) but anyone who thinks they get shafted because a new 360, a newer computer, a newer ipod, a new Blu-ray player any other product that comes along with better functionality should wait a long time, because its almost garuanteed that same company will release and upgraded version of that same product. -Hopefully the "old model" you purchased "too early" will still play games, run programs, let you listen to music, and watch HD movies....or again you could just wait. -lol View

I still own my launch console and I can still enjoy all the great next gen games on my "old 360", its funny because the new HDMI port on the "new 360's" don't lower the resolution or gaming experience of my "old 360". It's wierd to say that those who bought a 360 6, 12, or 18+ months ago got screwed because HDMI wasn't included, especially when it won't impact their games at all....most people in a side by side comparison test can't tell you which is component and which is HDMI, but either way I don't see how I got screwed for buying and enjoying my 360 since launch just because a new HDMI port 360 is being offered....hell its already on the Elite sku, which if I remember correctly the critics didn't like, yet its doing just fine. (The Core is what they should drop IMO)

-M$ is improving the hardware, making it more efficient. -Are early adopters "screwed" because the 65nm 360's will be more efficient? -NO if you buy something early you are buying that piece of hardware as it is NOW. All electronics go through improvements, as long as the experience(playing games) isn't changed or downgraded by the new offerings then why should old owners be upset? I have a couple of friends that sold their Premium and purchased Elites, just because they want the best 360, but from what I'm told from both of them is that they can't see a "noticeable" difference in the games at all on their HD TV....obviously this is not very scientific, but that seems to be what I consistently hear. Will Bioshock look worst on my HD TV now?, Will it be any less of a great game now? NO, hmmm Gamers really should focus more of their time enjoying great games instead of looking for any reason to hate, bash, flame a particular console, I can see how someone who just bought a 360 a month ago might be upset that makes some sense however honestly you don't buy electronics with the expectation that their won't be upgrades to the existing product....otherwise we should all be UPSET. I think this is just another marketing move by M$ to try to increase 360's value compared with Sony (Is that whats really bothering PS3 fanboys?). I understand some might WANT the newer HDMI version, and its good option for new users but again just like the Elite it doesn't hurt the current 360 owners gaming experience. View
