I love the fact that everytime there is an update you redownload the whole firmware and install it. It is not just a patch. This insures that none of your older firmware gets corrupted and you get a fresh install everytime. It takes longer to download and install but it is WAYY better than patching. Patching slowly bogs down the OS and you get worse performance. Just imagine how much slower XP or Vista are after all the patches versus just a clean install. View

I am almost done with all the races in Wipeout HD. I just have six more "time trial" races that I need to get GOLD medals on. Most of you that play Wipeout know that time trials did not have difficulty settings and you could only change "difficulty" on races against the A.I. So if I download this patch, what happens to all my "time trial" gold medals? Will it say I beat them on "easy" because if it doesn't I do not want this patch at all!! Please let me know, thanks!! PSN version may have larger install size = slightly less compressed character models. Plus you get it ONE day earlier for the Capcom Store on PSN LOL!! View

These firmware guys are consistently awesome. It seems like it's basically a 2-man show creating all the PS3/PSP firmware. I think they're the hardest working two in the organization. Basically, there have been over 300 features added to the PS3 over the past two years. It has really come a LONG way because I was there since Firmware 1.3 LOL
Basically all we're missing is cross-game chat and PS Home. THAT's it. View

I don't get the $70 price. They were using a 10GB 3.5" Desktop harddrive. There was no way it cost $70 for one of those back in 2000 and definitely not for a large company like microsoft. I smell B.S. View

I remember that fateful day of 9/9/99 when I bought my Dreamcast from Amazon.com. It arrived on launch like all preorders should. I miss great games like Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, Shenmue I and II, Space Channel 5, Jet Grind Radio, Crazy Taxi, House of the Dead, Floigan Bros, PSO, the sports 2k series, Rez, Headhunter, and so many more...

I am so much a fan that I own 2 DCs, 8 controllers, 4 VMUs, 4 jumper packs, 2 keyboards, two mice, two microphones, fishing controllers and the works and an original mint condition collection of over 60 games, all 1st hand ownership. I just think it was very innovative for its time. It really was a solid system, but hype for the PS2 dug its grave.

Mind you, the PS2 was nothing to marvel at when it was released. Graphics were poor and the system needed work, much like what we saw in the opening months of the PS3's life. But these two systems have come into their own and claimed their rightful spots. The Dreamcast was, indeed, ahead of its time.

Dreamcast 2 would be a stretch to ask for, both financially and also because of the heartache that would inevitaby be associated with its release and eminent demise in the advent of the console powerhouse on the markets today.

However, I wish that the epic tale of Shenmue be concluded so that the fans of this incredible franchise can be given some closure, and those that have not felt the magical aura of this game can see a glimpse of what this game has meant for those who have been graced with the lifechanging experience that it brought us all.

Poor Insomniacs, I know you're all disappointed with Quest 4 Booty. Honestly, as a huge Ratchet & Clank fan, I really enjoyed the game. I loved the new platforming elements and the light & dark gameplay. In many ways, it is better than Tools of Destruction. My only wish was trophy support because I would definitely play this game again. I know you're very busy but you should seriously consider this addition. The Naughty Dog team added trophy support for Uncharted almost 10 months after the release. View
