It's probably going to the 360, get over it man. It's not the end of the world, do you really think it's going to be that great? Granted I didn't play the first one but I don't remember it being a huge system seller or anything. But yes, they did say it's exclusively for PS3, but I really don't think that means anything other than they haven't announced the 360 version yet. View

Honestly I didn't buy the PS3 version being delayed when I saw the new "confirmation" from Midway. The PS3 version was the first version to be shown and they've had it up and running on the PS3 engine since E3 '05 so Epic should be pretty familiar with how to program the PS3. That and they're probably one of the studios that is most familiar with multi-core programming. Mark Rein said the other day that they were wanting to make UT3 their flagship title for the PS3 like Gears was for the 360, so I think we'll probably see a simultaneous release at least for the console releases. Sony has said they've never ponied up cash, can't find the quote but they've always refused to do that. They don't "moneyhat" titles to make them exclusive. I believe it was Kaz Hirai that said this in an interview, does anyone remember the particular one? View

I don't have a 360 so I haven't seen DVD's on it yet. DVD's look fine on my PS3, I'd be interested in seeing this group run the same test on it. I've run DVD's on my standalone Toshiba DVD player that has progressive scan (not upscaling) so they should both look the same, and they do.

Are there any 360 owners on here that have seen jaggies on their DVD's? Let's get some user opinions on this. Maybe MS really does need to fix the playback. Of course it's a game console, but it really shouldn't be hard to update the firmware to make some of these issues brought up in the article go away. I know for my PS3, I've used it as a DVD player more since I've gotten it than my regular DVD player just because it's easier for me, I'm usually playing a game or something and want to watch something so just eject the game disc and pop in a movie. More games is always a plus and I'm pretty sure the game will sell well on PS3, but it's just not my type of game anymore. I've just grown tired of GTA style games, and I won't be buying the next GTA either. Now, if/when news comes out about some games for 360 that I'm actually interested in like Mass Effect and Bioshock (this one is already rumored to be PS3 bound), then I'll be happy. View

Not surprising. This has been a rumor for a long time anyway. I'm tired of this type of game but I know a lot of Playstation fans will enjoy the GTA style gameplay. Anyway, maybe I'll check out the demo if they put one out. View

14.2- I'm not saying it's a good game, I'm just saying that the "Only on Xbox 360" doesn't mean a thing. I could see a bunch of Xbox 360 games moving over to PS3 as well: Saints Row, Lost Planet (more of a long shot on this one as I think Microsoft has it tied up pretty well), Dead Rising, Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc. Get used to it, exclusives are going to be rare at least for a while. First party size and quality will matter more this generation than ever. View

Remember when the "Only on Xbox 360" sticker was on Enchanted Arms? That's being released on PS3 in March. But the other point that you were making is correct, all of the consoles have too low of a userbase for companies to sink millions of dollars into at this point. They're better off making multiplatform releases now, and then going exclusive later when there's a clear winner. View

Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if any of these jumped consoles. Games are just too expensive right now for the publishers to sink so much money into when each console has such a low installed base. But yeah, just based on these statements, the DMC4 to Xbox 360 rumor seems to be squashed. View

You could very well be right, I'm just saying I wouldn't be completely surprised if Bioware figured a nuance in the contract that allowed them to bring Mass Effect to the PS3. I'm thinking it's maybe a new iteration of KOTOR, Jade Empire, or something along those lines. I doubt it would be a PS3 exclusive at this point though, I could be wrong, but I doubt it. View

Exclusives are going to be very hard to come by this early in the game with all consoles having a low installed base. You'll see that more in a couple years I think, if at all. Xtrm L1481L1TY- Agree with your comments until number 23 in the last sentence. We'll see what happens over the next year or so. The Wii sales are completely expected by me. It's a cheap system, appeals to kids, and was on sale at Christmas. The real test for Wii is in the next several years, or if it gets some more good games in the next year. View

I agree completely. Sony has the Jak and Daxter series, Ratchet and Clank, MGS, DMC (at least for now), Socom, ICO/Shadow of the Colossus Devs, Resistance, Factor 5's Lair (as well as future iterations) and their EDI games, F1 games, Motorstorm (future iterations as well), God of War, etc.... First party devs will be extremely important this gen, Nintendo will rely on them even more than Sony, IMO, as it will be harder and harder for devs to develop cross platform between PS3/Xbox 360 and Wii. Now it seems like the Wii cross-platform games are being based on PS2 versions, but what happens when 3rd parties phase out releases for PS2 in 6 months to a year? Will they make a version completely for Wii? Nintendo will probably rely very much so on first party devs, plus Ubisoft (I'm sure they'd rather have Factor 5, but since Sony has them now they can't). Microgamer- What in the heck are you talking about? How can having a large game library coming be a bad thing? You are forgetting that Sony's first party studios are probably at twice the size of Nintendo's and Microsoft's combined. They have plenty of first party resources to dedicate to these, but you can bet that not all 100 games will come out at the same time. They'll spread them out over a period of time. The 100 titles probably includes some that are coming out within a month and some that are coming out in 2-3 years. Their first party studios are one of their main strengths as this gen gets more expensive, IMO. I just really don't get your post regarding how having too many titles can actually hurt your console. Tell that to Sony when they're rolling in profits from Playstation and Playstation 2. Sony also tends to support their platforms post launch of their new systems (see PS2 compared to Xbox and Gamecube). View
