That story you are referring to is not the game the Gearbox is working on. From Kotaku: "We've been told by several industry sources that Yu was part of a package deal. She, and her husband, Kenneth Scott are both joining Microsoft Game Studios."
Did you read that? JOINING MICROSOFT GAME STUDIOS. That does not mean that Gearbox's Mystery game is actually no game at all but instead just one of it's employee's leaving for Microsoft.
