this is not the first time a metal gear game was on a xbox platform if you recall MGS2 was on the originla xbox. also all the 360 owners who were and still are satying we got MGS, really dont care they just wantedto finallly see it on there console. now when they go play it they will have no idea about the story because they never played anyof the others because they were on the playstation. they wont get the end of the story because the end is still on PS# and they would have to go buy one to get the story. SO really this could be helping Sony in the long run because when 360 owners who dont already own a pS3 play MGS RISING they will want to find out more and go buy a ps3 to finish the story. course they wont get the awesome beginning so they still wont have a clue. The one thing that ive noticed between the two companins is MS is trying to get sony;s exclusives on their platform, while milking there current exclusives dry ( so is sony btw just not as much). Sony on the other hand is bring out all the new IP exclusives that are kicking ass. I think MS need to start taking a chance and start getting some kool IPs. I think thats why Sony has done so great with there previous consoles most of there big hits where new IP's, and they are doing it again.
anyways my two cents on the MG subject. still going to get the game just on my PS3 cause the controlls will be more familier to me. Cant wait to play as the badass Raiden.
