User Bio
My name is Joel Taveras, and I am a gamer. Gaming to me comes as natural as breathing. Growing up (thanks to my parents) I was always fortunate enough to be surrounded by gaming consoles. Some of my fondest childhood memories happened with a video game controller in hand. Whether it was saving Princess peach for the first time at age 4, or having a gaming marathon with my best bud until the sun came up at age 14 (because Liquid Snake HAD to be stopped), experiences like those will last forever. Now that I’m quickly approaching the age of 25 and coming into real adulthood, (school, work, bills, stress) I game now more than ever. Why? To escape. Gaming is my therapy. It somehow always has a way of making me feel like I’m that 4 year old boy again, waking up and running to the family room to pop in a cartidge on Saturday Mornings, when life was simpler. DualShockers, was created so that the team and I can share our love and enthusiasm for gaming (no matter the genre, no matter the platform) with the world. I am devoted to deliver compelling, fresh, no frills content to all our readers on a daily basis.
