I'm the reviewer for Totally360 and I'm just here to clarify a few things. All of your thoughts have been taken on board but you have to understand this is a matter of my opinion and there's absolutely no sort of bribary between Totally360 and Codemasters, or any publisher for that matter.
First of all, the multiplayer score of 9 was a typo on my part and has since been fixed. It's still rated highly because it's the first 360 game to offer simultaneous support for 100 players. Granted they're not on track which was mentioned in the review but it's still a marvellous achievement.
Secondly, saying it's gotten an arcadey feel wasn't a negative point, just that it takes a bit of getting used to.
Thirdly, the game was played through to completion and so comments like 'the guy will regret it when he plays further' are nonsense. The cars do suffer different handling on different surfaces, and it's pretty noticeable drifting from dirt onto tarmac.
Fourthly, why do I look dumb because I didn't compare DiRT's features to Motorstorms? The only reason Motorstorm was ever brought up was as a comparative to the graphics, graphically the finest game on PS3 and in my opinion DiRT's visuals surpass it. I'm not a l33t 360 fanboyz like some of you may claim, I have a PS3 and love Motorstorm, but that's not going to stop me issuing praise for DiRT when it deserves it.
I feel the 9/10 is completely justified. It's a fantastic game and one that should be enjoyed by all. Sure it won't appeal to everyone, but what game does? And to the second poster can I recommend that reviews are read from the beginning first, rather than the end.
