Anyone making this movie and not choosing Nathan Fillion is dumb as hell!
The character was oblivious made with him in mind and he is cheap... Matthew McConaughey would ruin the movie, just see Sahara.

Writing the script, and directing the scenes... then I don't think it can live up to Uncharted's glory.

It might still end up as a great movie for those who haven't played the game, but it won't have the same flair that Uncharted had.

I dunno, I LOVED Hitman and I think I read somewhere that Timothy Olyphant had never actually played the game.

I think it is more about selecting people who are genuinely suited to the roles. That is why Nathan Fillion would be brilliant, not only does he look fairly similar to Drake, he basically has the EXACT same mannerisms as Drake. It's a perfect fit!

Now if you mean use people who appreciate the game as in crew/writer/director more than anything else, then just look at Uwe Boll. He is a gaming nerd but ruins more movies than anybody in the history of movies.

I'll be seeing Transformers 2 on Thursday though, so I hope the character personalities & development are better(especially for the Decepticons).

I can't be too mad at the first movie though; it made me like Bumblebee. I never thought that would happen :)

By looking at Eddy Raja, The Rock could maybe play him. If you check the pic, you can see Eddy doing the eyebrow! And hey, The Rundown was great and so Rock must do more action, less disney. Amaury is still good though.

Without a doubt one of the most retarded accusations I've seen on N4G. It made no sense at all lol. Johnny Depp would make an awful Nathan Drake, learn to accept that. He is first of all too short. Whoever plays Drake needs to be over 6ft. Johnny Depp's voice is too serious as well. You want to see him do an un-serious voice? Then watch Charlie and the Chocolate factory (shudders).
Last of all picture Johnny Depp in Drake's attire and with Drake's hair, nobody would honestly take him seriously lol.

There is world, with people in it. Some of those people are actors. One such actor is named Powers Boothe who has been on 24, the great movies Red Dawn, Southern Comfort, Tombstone, Frailty and the Emerald Forest. He's a good actor.
