What I want to know is what happens to all the users who didn't know about the upgrade program or don't have the means to get it (ie: parents credit card or just being broke). Does their Xbox Live accounts just go dark because they have no storage at all?

I'm a "real" gamer, and I prefer Sony machines. I'm almost as hardcore as they come and I've owned a sh*tton of consoles over the years. To me this whole hard drive offer is just a huge slap in the face to those who bought the Core and Arcade units. It's MS trying to make up for segmenting their user-base and just asking the consumer to spend more.

Sure it's a good deal, and it really should have always been there, but I keep coming back to the question. Why should someone be required to do this? What about the people who bought second hand 360's with no storage? How do they get in on this program if the serial number was already registered to the initial owner?

Everything MS does seems to be for their wallets. Most of the stuff Sony does is for the consumers because they just happen to realize that a pissed and nickel-and-dimed user-base is a bad one. They let you install Linux for crying out loud. They let you use ANY bluetooth headset, or any webcam with the console. They don't alienate the consumers and leave people left out by not charging for online gaming.

Don't you realize that when you get a PS3 you're on the same level as any other PS3 owner. Yet some still call XBL a "unified" online system...

Okay, R2 has got to be more fun than that. Being that you claim to be playing it yet you left mid game to type an silly message on N4G.

Here's how it see it. If I plan on using the internet, I will definitely use my PC. When I am using my PS3 I am either watching a Movie or Playing a game. Otherwise, at least for me, why even turn it on. My PC is on most of the time, I'll just use it to browse the web, because my PS3 doesn't even compare to using a PC for web browsing.

Some of you guys for some silly reason feel compelled to troll on 360 threads. It's cool to read, even to comment. But, to make negative or bashing comments is simply silly and immature.
