iPhone and Blackberry on collision course

So the iPhone is headed for the boardroom while the Blackberry begins to court consumers where they spend most of their non-email online time. Will one of them eventually rule both worlds or are they destined to coexist for the foreseeable future?

1 - Little Problem...
Given that the iPhone lacks a tactile feedback enabled keyboard, it's going to be a very tough sell. Not to mention that Blackberries have been entrenched in the corporate world.

It's going to be quite hard to convince your boss that you need an entertainment based phone to be productive at work.

It wasn't the tactile keyboard that made Blackberry the de facto mobile communication device for the corporate customer, it was the ability to integrate it into existing IT infrastructures which are predominantly MS networks. Now that iPhone can play nice with Exchange it will not only break Blackberry's stranglehold on the corporate market, but will likely squeeze it out altogether.

Stanford, Nike and Disney already with massive deployments of the beta and working well with all the features that Enterprise has been requesting.

Also the new software allows Admins to completely lock down the phone to business related apps.

I know the IT department where I work is going to be thrilled that they'll no longer have to p*ss off VPs by telling them that they can't get their Outlook messages on their iPhones, but as a software engineer I'm more exited by the release of the iPhone SDK because I've been wanting to tickle the guts of that little gizmo since I brought mine home last summer.

5 - I just bought the HTC TOUCH
Kind of a phone, PDA, BB hybrid.

AWSOME PHONE. I really do love it. Plus with the unlimited browse plan from BELL, free email direct from my hotmail account and free MSN chats.

No need to buy an expensice DATA plan on top of your voice plan.

Touch QWERTY keyboard is very easy to get use to, plus if you want, use the stylus with the keyboard OR use the stylus to write and the TOUCH does AWSOME transcript to text.

VERY VERY HAPPY with it and would recommend anyone to at least check it out.

5.1 - HTC makes awesome stuff!
I been with their phones for over 3 yrs...ppc6600, 6700, and now the mogul. WM6 has been great, so many mods out there for it to make it all the more finger-friendly like the iphone, but different in style n all. the slide out keyboard is brilliant as ever! Have you tried out pocketcm? its a fingerfriendly contact manager, the best, and its free! theres tons of stuff out there! Have you gotten any sweet mods?

I am new to Windows Mobile 6, could you please PM me with some info on MODS and links. Would be MUCH APPRECIATED. You sound well versed in it. I enjoy hearing from folks with experience that are willing to help out folks NEW to the experience/technology. Also need to know how SAFE mods are. Don't want to brick my phone I will have for a 3 year contract .. LOL

The TOUCH does not have the pop out keyboard, but hey ... it took me a whole 5 minutes to get use to the touch stuff.

Cheers
