PSP Go: The Pioneer & The Philosopher

The PSP Go, officially unveiled at E3 2009 back in June though openly acknowledged as the subject of a great amount of information leaks prior to Sony Computer Entertainment's official confirmation, is set to launch on October 1st 2009 in North America and Europe, and brings with it a number of firsts. The most obvious of which is that consumers who purchase the product will no longer be able to walk to their local videogame retailer and purchase boxed software for the system, even if they wanted to. However, there are numerous other firsts the system brings to the videogames landscape, many of which seem to have gone relatively unnoticed.
