Lost Odyssey Review - for the people who aren't sure if they want to buy it
I know this game came out a while ago. However this is a game I've always wanted to review. Ive played it for 70 hours or so, so I know what this games about. Many people criticize this game mostly ps3 fanboys who've never even played in but here's my honest unbiased review on the xbox 360 exclusive jrpg - Lost odyssey
Story -- Hands down one of the best stories in jrpg history. In the same league as ffiv and ffx. Yes its that good. this is the best part about lost odyssey. the characters are good and the acting is great. however "I HATE MACK AND COOKE." Kaim is sooo cool and Jensen is actually really funny. The story plays out so well with breathtaking visuals and fairly lengthy cutscenes in which you cant take your eyes off the screen. The best part of this to me though is in the thousand years of memories in which you read stories so good it will literally make you cry. No game has ever done that that's why this games story gets a 9.5
Graphics- i would of gave this games graphics a 9.5 also but there are frame rate problems texture problems as well. The load times aren't that bad but good of been better. However i loved the mature theme in this and the graphic suit it just great so a 9
audio - its not his best work but up there with some of the great final fantasy's. you will want to stand in the downs just to hear the music. The character dialogue is top notch i just wish they took out those damn kids or made them less annoying. a 9 for that as well.
gameplay - its a hit or miss. not a huge random encounters turn based kind of guy but what it does it does well. nothing new here besides the ring system which is good. so an 8.0 nothing great but not bad either.
presentation/longevity/lasting appeal ---- its like a 40 hour game with no sidequests it took me 70 hours to do everything so it'll take you a while. I loved the boss battles. looked great was challenging and rewarding when you defeated them. So props or that. the ending is good end will tie up most loose ends. Long though but good. the whole game just seems to play out very epic but it has some pacing issues in disc three that i don't like that much. Overall you really should get this game if you give it a chance i think it will be hard not to like it
