Well, when I first popped Battlefield: Bad Company and started up single-player campaign on Normal, I was immediately in love with the game. You'll see why once you pick this game up, especially when you meet "Haggard" (one of the squad mates). I am sure that he will get a few laughs out of you.
Graphics - 4.5 out of 5. To get straight to the point, I have to say that... graphics-wise, this game is superb. I really thought the graphics in this game were well-done for the most part, however, some details were not where they could have or should have been. They could have made the facial models a little more detailed for the next-gen, but either way... graphics are not that big of a deal to me.
Gameplay - 5out of 5 points. Excellent. The environments through which you can explore are very detailed and large. I really felt as if I had a lot of freedom in this game, as compared to various other war games (such as Call of Duty 4). Playing this game really reminded me of the liberty that you had in Mercenaries for the PlayStation 2.
Controls. 4 out of 5 points. Controls were pretty much straightforward, however - if you are not a fan of inverted Y-axis control, then you're going to be annoyed when you first start being able to play.
Story - 2 out of 5 points. I am not going to go into details exactly, but all I can say is that I am not satisfied with the story 100%. The plot was really dry, in my honest opinion. The main focal point of this game is to, after act 1, retrieve gold for self pleasures. That is the plot that runs the game after the first act. The ending is very abrupt and predictable, as well.
All in all, out of scale of 1 - 5... I would rate this game a 4/5, simply because the story needs work and the graphics could have had a little more detail to them, and the lighting could be fixed as well. Not to mention that it appeared to be "grainy" on a slight level during the beginning. I have not tried the online mode, but I have heard good things about it. If you're looking for a game filled with action, then this is a must-buy for any gamer.
