When I first picked up dead space I was hoping for a lot and my expectations were very high (even the game clerk said it was awesome lol). To be honest, I was not disappointed. This game in general is a lot like Resident Evil 4 because of its camera angle and game play and Bioshock for its atmosphere. Dead space beats one of those games, Resident Evil 4, while falls close to the genius of Bioshock.

Gameplay- Its alot like Resident evil in a way,but also improves the formula alot, like running while having your aiming button up and better monsters and much better boss fights, they are epic. It has a RPG like system to it for weapons and upgrades to things like heath and this slow-mo thing called stasis energy. Overall a great system. 9.5/10

Graphics- O man, if your looking for a good looking game this year than look no father than dead space. This game has the best graphics of any other game I've played and the monsters look amazing while at the same time scary and frighting. The HUD is all on the characters back so it doesn't distract you, a thing all games should have. 10/10

Story- This is where the game kinda lags, the story is not that great but it really doesn't matter, its all about the weapons and the baddies. You play as Isaac Clack, a miner on a deap space mission to repair the ship you play on, but learns its been infested with the neoluckers or baddies. 8/10

Sound- Great sound, the static can be annoying some times, but its ok. Your character is silent witch is actually very weird. 9/10

replay value- you can carry over stats to new game, so good replay.

Gameplay- 9.5/10
graphics- 10/10

Overall: 9/10 good for any horror fan looking for a scare on Halloween.
