One of the most disappointing sequels ever made
While this review is going to be severely harsh and the game will receive an incredibly low score from me, it really deserves it. From the lackluster single campaign to unenjoyable multiplayer maps, this game has to be one of the most disappointing games ever made. Yes, it wasn't one of the worst fps ever made, or one of the worst sequels ever made, but it was clearly a huge disappointment.

The first element that I'm going to mention is Bungie's lack of creating a great story. Through those annoying voices of kortana, and gravemind the game never had that reminiscent epic feeling of the other halo games. Not only did the game have short unenjoyable cutscenes, but the cutscenes never tied into each other. I felt at the end of the day, not understanding half of the story, as if I had to read all the halo stories to get it.

The next element that needed alot of work was the graphics. From having some of the worst foilage imaginable in the game, Halo 3 didn't look great at all. Especially some of the latter levels were just plain out ugly, and the flood looked terrible. The best part about the graphics was its huge draw distance, which the only game to match it this generation has to be Oblivion.

Now onto the level design, what was Bungie thinking on some of these levels? I was confused on only two levels: the one in the flood quarters, and the first level. Especially on the flood level, I was confused whether I was going back, foward, reverse, left, right, down, or up the level was that poorly designed. I didn't notice graphical difference, and took me forever to beat that level.

Now on multiplayer levels, I still don't understand why I didn't enjoy these levels as much as I did with halo 2 maps? This is a minor complaint but for some reason I only enjoyed a couple of maps, those are isolation, sandtrap, snowbound, and standoff.

The best part of this game is the online by far. Halo 3, like halo 2, has the best ranking system, and am able to play players at my same level (instead of playing professional players like in COD2). Also being able to snap a picture of the game at any moment, create instant replays, among other things makes this game even more awesome. I could watch any time my triple kills with one sniper shot.
