Kingdom under fire. Certainly a change in direction for this great franchise. Gone from great strategy to somewhat apealing and ver addictive hack 'n' slsh style with little strategy, but a whole heap of things to do and collect.
When you start of you can choose from 5 different characters, each with there own abilities, each affecting the way you play the game and wth different stats,
The big change I noticed was the way the game is. Like I say its more hack 'n' slash and no strategy apart from building all your characters up so that they can handle the game on the harder difficulty settings. Fine if your like me and like that type of thing. Obviously not if you don't.
Graphics are really avererage and dont look like next gen, but there are loads of enemies at the screen at the same time (hundreds at times and sometimes even thousands lol), so can allow for it and all the environments can be damaged (unfortunately not destroyed). Cutscene visuals are o.k, but you can play through the game easily enough without watching those as really they dont add to the game at all.
Sounds are ok, not great but they do the job.
Overall I would sum this up as a very addictive hack 'n' slash game, better then all the dynasty and samurai warriors games (which isn't saying much lol), worth a play, but once you play you will be hooked, and co-op makes it last a lot longer and keeps you playing through it with all the characters, if you do that and can be bothered you can play through the game 10 different times with all the charater and difficulty settings.
