Kratos is going Mobile? Does he do good on the go?
To answer that question, yes it does. From the makers of Daxter, ReadyAtDawn Studios bring you God of War: Chains of Olympus. These guys know how to make a badass game on the PSP, no joke.

God of War: Chains of Olympus takes you on a wild ride from Attica, to the Underworld itself. You play of course as Kratos our Spartan of love who's always around when you need him (not really but you get it). The story is a prequel to "God of War", where Kratos is serving his 10 years to the Gods but, as you know Kratos grows weary of being a slave and wants to free himself from his horrible nightmares. This leads him onto his adventure, which apparently is to stop a black mist, which leaves the Gods powerless, from covering Sparta and the world.

So Kratos on the PSP eh? Doesn't mix to you huh? Well wrong, ReadyAtDawn did a really good job from animation to the gameplay, and to the way Kratos is on the PSP itself.

Gameplay wise you can expect all of the gamplay that you've come to love on the PS2 but playing with one analog stick does suit very nicely even the when the combo buttons comes up they still reamin the same. Loading times are super quick as well as loading your saved games so they won't let you miss a beat, and the game is hard to put down since there is a bunch of twist and turns.

Animation are very well done from Kratos moving to the button mashing, and Kratos looks damn good on the PSP. Attack animations are crystal clear and are so good you'll forget that your playing the game on a PSP.

Graphics are breathtaking for a portable game and Kratos is polished up the right way so that he'll own the baddies with pleasure. The backgrounds are amazing and the levels are superb if I may say. ReadyAtDawn did a very well job putting this game together.

Sounds are, well, the "God of War" sounds, the score is solid, and it's what you've would come to expect in a "God of War" game, but when playing it you may want to use your headphones to get a good feel of the sounds and of the score.

Extras you ask? Yep, God of War: Chains of Olympus come with oodles
of goodies for you to do after you've successfully beat the game, such as Costumes for you to play as, Videos, Images and of course the Challenges. Also when you start a new game you'll still have all the Weapons and Magic that you've gained in your past game.

Now bad things.... Sounds are sometimes ok but still wear headphones when playing this game, there can be some framerate chops in the game but it doesn't usually happen all the time. In our reviewable copy I had some frame chops but that didn't slow me down. Also when you use the analog stick to do combos, it will be difficult 80% of the time. The game is only 5 hours short so one sit through is pretty much all you need.

Seriously go and buy this game, ReadyAtDawn deserves $40 for this incredible game on the PSP. The Ending will also surprise you.
