Well I'm sure you've heard about Uncharted by now, how it's "the game to own on PS3" and how it "sets a new standard in visuals." Well I want to tell you that all of that is true

First of all, if you have an HDtv capable of 720p you'll be pleased. I was amazed at the lighting of the jungles, the responsiveness of flora (flowers sway past you as you walk through them), and the animations are second to none. So yeah, visuals are great.

But so what, right? What about the game itself? Well the game delivers there as well. In fact, I felt like I was playing a movie. The production is so well done and the voice acting is just as good. The controls are okay. There are moments where you'll mistakenly fall off a ledge due to the controls but they're not frequent. The gameplay-a combination of both the controls and the responsiveness of the enemy AI-works very well. Except the enemies still don't die easily. Seriously, there are like 2 guns that kill guys with one shot. Everything else takes quite a few rounds. I shot one guy 10 times with the standard pistol and he still lived. I couldn't stop laughing. A better route would have been to limit ammo and put more of an emphasis on being accurate as opposed to requiring you to shoot someone upwards of 10x to get a kill

Also the gun shot sounds are not all that great. They sound somewhat flat. I would've liked for an AK to sound off like one. For a shotgun blast to sound like one. The grenade sound effects are, however, very well done

The puzzles in the game are just wayyy too easy. Seriously, you just look in your little book. C'mon Naughty Dog. Make us work for it. You don't have a bunch of toddlers playing your game. I would have enjoyed something more in-depth. Maybe require the gamer to do a little thinking.

The game receives a lot of criticism for its length but I thought it was actually the perfect length for a game: not too long but not in the rental category. I recommend this game to ANYONE that owns a PS3.
