Beats: Play What Everyone's Talking About

In case you missed it, Beats came out for the PLAYSTATION Store for PC yesterday. It's getting great buzz from Kotaku, PSP Fanboy, Joystiq, and others. As you can see in the video on the Playstation Blog, it's a funky interactive music player that gives you a new way to interact with your personal music collection on a PSP.

It is an awesome game. For those who find that it misses some of the beats of the song you are listening to, play it on hard and extreme and you will see that it simply missed them to adjust for the difficulty levels.

It's DDR/Guitar Hero type game on PSP. You hit buttons and the dpad as they scroll. Best part: You can use your own music.

Its like Dance dance revolution for your thumbs ...on psp and all your mp3's you have on your psp are playable. It incorporates your music to the game.

so you tap your thumbs to the beat so to speak.

Beats is the truth, I'm hoping for a PS3 version that uses the GH/Rock Band peripherals. The beat detection is strong enough that it might actually work. Glad to see the little black handheld that could continue to be a pocket juggernaut. Stuff like this makes sure it comes with me wherever I go.

I spent the $5.00 and tied it for myself

The creators of this game should be in charge of every PS3 update...

Sexy interface. Customized music gameplay. Interactive Menu's.

9 - Beats is a bit similar to Gitaroo Man because the buttons "Fly" To the center per se.

But anyways. to have a bit more fun. Just pick EXTREME. It can get crazy but hey, it's a lot of fun trying to beat your old score.

My tip that worked so far for me is encode your mp3s to 320bps/44100Hz because synching is more on cue with the buttons.

I played Sweet Child O' Mine and Dragonforce's Through the Fire and Flames. Perfect. Oh. another perfect synch that I looked at closely was Lostprophet's Last Train Home. But yeah. This 5 dollar downloadable title is awesome.

Hope it makes it's way to the ps3 and have an online play or something. or call it Beats 2 and they can make it a "Sing Star" in a way where we buy the songs to play. *Dreams*

14 - I just got the game...it is totally awesome I played for over 2 hours...

I got to go to sleep...and am going to know put all my favorite music on my PSP...i got a 4 gig stick.

The themes in beat are awesome..maybe the PS3 and PSP will get these themes..

The interface is awesome.

This is the best PSP game out there right now...and only $5!!!

Just got Beats for my PSP yesterday, and it is amazing.

I am having some problems though... Most of the songs i play, the beats are totaly off, and dont match the song at all. I'm sure its not the game, because i have seen videos of other people playing their music, and it is synced almost perfectly. Is there any way i can fix this?
