This is a quick rundown of Killzone 1 and Killzone: Liberation and the media are not Killzone 2 related.
E3 and July the 10th simply cant come soon enough. Cant wait for Killzone 2 press to see wether it will catch up with old trailer or not.

These videos are from KZ1 on the ps2. I hope KZ2 looks good n i hope SONY show a video of the gameplay. I've played KZ1 b4 n i was ok, but it wasn't the "HALO-KILLER", Im not expecting KZ2 to be the "HALO-KILLER", but at least something that shows what PS3 can do, i know HS, uncharted, LAIR, n WARHAWK are showing the power of the PS3. I have a feeling that KZ2 will blow my eyes away. Can't wait till i see KZ2 at E3.

I don't care if KZ2 live up to the hype or not. I just wanna see that it looks cool, it doesn't have to be better than CRYSIS or HALO3 to make me go crazy. Games aren't perfect, they will alway have some kind of promblems, even humans have promblems, n im not saying humans are like games. Im not expecting KZ2 to look as good as the E305 trailer, but if it does, then that'll be cool.

I really can't wait to see Killzone 2 in action, I have a feeling its gonna be awesome but no "Halo-Killer" that many people say it will be. Only Halo can kill itselfs. Anyways, enough of Halo, Killzone 1 was a good game but it was not as awesome as it should of been, had it only come to the PC then it would be fricken awesome, the PS2 hardware was a real let down, graphically at times it was awesome however for the most part it was pretty crappy.

I just want a realtime gameplay trailer which they should show at E3 this year.

I'll say again , i enjoyed the first game up until a point but i never got round to finishing it.It sure did struggle on PS2 but it had a believability to it and the atmosphere was great.I doubt it will reach the excellence of Halo 3 but i would borrow someones PS3 to play this i expect.

great single-player and story but multiplayer was sort of average. I think multiplayer will be a larger component for the PS3 counter part. E3 just can't come earlier.

i never got 2 play it online. so i really cant judge it. i only played my bro timmyp53 offline and u know how fast cool can turn to lame when your playing the same person over and over again... i owned my bro in killzone! lol. i hope he doesn't read this.

You're talking yourself blue in the face on these forums brother. If one doesn't know, then they just don't know and never will. The initial reviews of the game were panned @ 6.9, then the critical review moved it to 7.3 and the subsequent user reviews on gamespot have it at 8.2..... http://www.gamespot.com/ps2...

Surely this was a divisive game and appeals to a cult following which realizes and appreciates it's gritty, man on man, no-nonsense, trench warfare approach and the vision that Guerilla had. Unfortunately, the PS2 couldn't handle that vision and it's been nearly 4 years in the making since KILLZONE released in 2004 on the P2, as Guerilla works on their "epic" (no pun itended).

I really don't know what else to say. Either you like it or not or have never played it and only have heard horrible crazy things about it, so FUD really isn't out of the question here to be quite fair. All I can sum up with is the mantra since the E3 '05 trailer:

War is Coming

Let the Bodies Hit the Floor.

Guerilla. The ball is in your court now with 2 minutes left in a tight, tight ballgame. All we can do now is be witnesses.

and if you've never played it all you can do is go around the net and see that people mostly xbox fans sand some really over the top competitive sony fans called it the Halo killer and then said it flopped. killzone for ps2 wasn't bad but it wasn't anything spectacular either. it certainly garnered well over 3 million sold which was quite enough to merit a sequel and to better carry out the vision that GG had on the PS2. will they come out with a bang and show that the PS3 is capable of doing stuff like that. i'd really stand impressed that it does if it does. but if it's even better than MGS4 graphically which is making all the waves right now next to HS Lair and Uncharted then i'll be happy. but to tell the truth, with a 22 million dollar budget, 1 year preproduction phase and a 2 year production value, 120 devs and a brilliant facility of researchers dedicated to bringing the most realist lighting simulation software this side of console gaming has ever seen, and Sony completely backing GG with all the resourses they will need to maximize what the PS3 can do. personally i cant but have more faith in them this time around.
They dont have to be a Halo killer, because Halo to the ones that enjoy it (I dont) is impressive in it's own right. and should be treated as such.

lets hope for the best for Killzone, and i know for a fact that it will look and play amazing the way it was ment to back on PS2 but coulnd't because of Hardware limitations.
