Devil Won't be Crying on PSP

Kombo Writes: "Famitsu just revealed that Capcom has pulled the plug on Devil May Cry PSP. Originally, the title was announced around the time that the PSP was being hyped by Sony back in 2005. Since then, we have heard and seen little to no information about the said game. Thanks to this small fragment of information, we can finally put to bed the hope and want for Devil May Cry to land on the PSP. "

::sad face::

We still get MH from them anyway. Just keep DMC coming in to consoles and i'll keep buying. They better get rid of Nero!

For reals Nero was a Douch#bag...the whole time I was playing DMC4 I thought I was playing a Kingdom Hearts game, except when I played as Dante.

PSP got an amazing lineup for this year. Yeah Oblivion and DMC wont be on the platform but then it got Assassin Creeds, Army of Two, and many other console games. I doubt Sony wont release GT5 on the psp/ps2.

1.5 - unless
Sony come up with the next system that is not hackable
i dnt understand why sony doesnt implement all the features of custom firmire but leave out the the ability to play any copy of a game...
that way any team responsible for hacking would and could be charged since the only purpose left would be for pirating purpse and not that excuse of 'homebrew'
If they were succesful then maybe wed seee so mny console game flooding to ps2p
maybe that is y the likelyness of ps2p is high
every game that comes out is already pirated even resistance in the 1st day

1.6 - Capcom:
The king of disappointments.

First they close Clover, then they put nero's p*ssy ass in DMC4, now they cancel DMC-PSP...

I'm starting to wonder how these Japanese publishers are surviving...

I want to play as Sparda back when demons roamed the human world like crazy. I want to see things in Sparda's perspective. But he better start as all powerful with hundreds upon hundreds or thousands demons going up against him.

I still want the idea of Dynasty Warriors (just the amount not gameplay) of enemies on screen then they're all wanting to kill you. Kinda like Heavenly Sword but as Sparda and bosses just show up from the sky, underground, or charging at you from a distance. A Sparda game with Heavenly Sword type of graphics or visual would be awesome!

Oh God I wish that too! When I first played as Vergil in DMC3 I thought he was sooo badass. I wish they make a game of him only... not nero...

It is a pity, I was hoping that with the success of MH, Capcom might try and ramp up PSP support with DMC and RESI.

I also doubt GT PSP is going to get canceled.
I believe that are designing ti to work in conjunction with GT5, like ppl with the PSP version could race ppl with the PS3 version.

Lets wait and see...

This sucks Devil May Cry would have sold really well on the PSP. I hope this does not mean Capcom will not bring out a Resident Evil game on the PSP either.

God of War showed the PSP could play these action games really well and so it is really sad to think what could have been. Another cool fighting game like GOW and DMC was Gekido and that too looked like it would be have fun but was canceled also so this news really suck.

I just hope this is not to show what things will come with Capcom and the PSP. Because Capcom has awesome IPs and I would love to see more of theres on the PSP.
