Not surprisingly the back bone of Konami's sales was the PS3.

Other facts:

The xbox 360 accounted for 3% of sales.

PS-something consoles accounted for nearly 70% of sales. (Ps3,2,psp)

PC- 1% of sales.

And how Metal Gear has its own genre. It's just that epic and to say otherwise is silly fanboy talk. Own up boys and play that game. If you don't have a PS3, that game should encourage you to buy one. It was definitely a great title.

3 - oh so MGS4 being exclusive..
was fine for Konami after all. Yep they would of made different money or even extra money if it went multiplatform but I never see too many 360 fanboys saying any of their few exclusives should go multi just to make more loot. Hideo and Konami......Justified

Tho one biggest point is is its worth taking extra months...... with those time they can work on knew games such as ZoE3 or if the team force Hindo then a new MG title.

S-E have done that they are delying FFXIII on outside regin.

And the myth about PS3 devs not earning profit has just fallen right in front of our eyes. It's cool to see that MGS4 is about 1/3 of Konami's sales for this period.

Nothing.
these numbers are meaningless

Konami these days is only good for Metal gear, Suikoden and Castlevania.
The latter two are DS series, and Metal gear is a sony magnet.

This is kinda like looking at the Epic sales numbers, (which is like 99% xbox360 sales) and then claiming 360 is rocking the ps3.

all i can tell you is that pro evo (one of their biggest franchises) is definitely selling more on the ps3. Problem is ur just gunna have to take my word for that;)

True, metal gear sells very well.
I expected no less, i had playstations in the past, and i liked Metal gear a lot on it, my favorite is still metal gear solid on the psone.

Those boss fights where classic, raven owned :)

Sad that people see this as some sign that PS3 is beating 360 when all they do is release PS games for the most part.. Name any game on the same level as MGS on any other platform... YEah you cant. So this means nothing.. It's like Nintendo showing their sales and people claim the Wii is killing the other two.. Of course a mostly exclusive company is making all their money on the brand they stick to most.. I think this was obvious to anyone but Sony fans who seem to think it has some meaning. If Insomniac releases their numbers and show they make most money on PS3 what does that prove? same thing as this.. nothing..It is telling to most of us that any kind of "positive" news for Sony's consoles has to be taken out of context or just flat out spun.
What I got from this is that Wii sales tons of games.. Given how little they supported it it still account for 17% of total sales. They have heavy PS3 focus and it manages 38%. If MGS wasnt exlcusive that 38% would be more like 20%.
